The suspect Jimmie Randall Johnson Jr. was reportedly arrested Saturday and is due to appear in court later this week.
It was gathered that Johnson left three voicemails at the main number for the state Department of Homeland Security earlier this month with threats against Obama, Romney, Ryan, state Homeland Security Director David Purkey and Tennessee Bureau of Investigations Special Agent Tommy Farmer.
He had threatened to "come with an AK" to kill the men, according to the affidavit. He made additional threats the next day to kill Romney and Ryan and "light Nashville up," it said.
His case records says Johnson is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
