What could have been a catastrophe was on Thursday, 11th October, 2018 dodged at Igbo-Elerin road, off Badagry express way, Okokomaiko area, Lagos State, Nigeria.

According eye-witnesses, who reside in the area, the tanker, loaded with the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) product fell while trying to take a sharp bend on the road.

Residents and eye-witnesses expressed gratitude over the response of the Lagos State Fire Service and the Nigerian Police Force, according to a business owner who spoke with our correspondence, this could have been a major disaster, this is a highly populated area, with residential  and business buildings clustered, there is even a market, a few meters from here. I don't want to think of what could have happened if that tanker exploded.

It was also observed, that some individuals however helped themselves to some free fuel, under Police watch.
