Court hears Sanusi’s suit March 21!

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday fixed March 21 to hear a motion filed by the suspended  Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, seeking enforcement of his fundamental right.

Lamido had filed the suit through his counsel, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo (SAN), seeking an order restraining the police and officers of the State Security Service (SSS) from arresting, detaining or otherwise harassing him.
Joined as first to third respondents in the suit are: The Attorney General of the Federation, Inspector General of Police and the SSS.
When the case was mentioned on Friday, Justice Ibrahim Buba adjourned it to March 21 for hearing, following an application for adjournment moved by counsel to all the respondents.
Counsel to the AGF, Dr Oscar Nliam, holding the brief of Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), informed the court that his office had just been briefed on the matter.
He told the court that they were yet to receive all the processes filed by the applicant, and therefore prayed the court for a short adjournment to enable him collate all processes.
Counsel representing the I-G, Mr Chukwu Agwu, on his part, informed the court that he was only notified last night by his boss from the Force Headquarters that the suit will be coming up in court.
He said that the second respondent was yet to receive the processes and also prayed the court for an adjournment to enable him look at the processes when they arrive.
In the same vein, counsel representing the SSS, Mr Ahmed Musa, also aligned himself with the submissions of his colleagues, adding that an adjournment will be to their favour especially as parties were still within time of filing.
Counsel representing the applicant, Mr Kola Awodehin (SAN), did not object to the prayers for adjournment, but noted that the suit bordered on fundamental rights enforcement and ought to be dealt with expeditiously.
Justice Buba, however, in a short ruling, adjourned the case to March 21 for hearing.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the court had on Feb. 21, granted an interim order of injunction, restraining the respondents from arresting, detaining or harassing the applicant, pending the determination of the motion on notice.
The interim order was sequel to an affidavit of urgency filed by the applicant on the same date.
The court had also granted the applicant leave to serve the originating summons and other accompanying court processes on the respondents.

Diogo Morgado's role in new film sparked argument!

Diogo Morgado played Jesus in the new film "Son of God", where the color of

Jesus' skin has sparked heated debate for centuries.

Diogo Morgado plays Jesus in the new film "Son of God." The color of Jesus' skin has sparked heated debate for centuries, here we take a look at some different interpretations of the man from Nazareth.

Many think Diogo Morgado is one hot dude and his Jesus looks more like Brad Pitt than the nice man with the beard in all those paintings.

CNN took a look at some different interpretations of the man from

Nazareth.

In line with this thought, Carol Costello bares her mind thus:

"Clearly Jesus was sexy. After all, He is the Son of God. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but as I watched the trailer for the new movie, "Son of God," I found myself gawking at the actor portraying Jesus".

But Rev. Robert B. Lawton, SJ, a Jesuit priest and former president of Loyola Marymount University tends to disagree with Carol, "There is absolutely no indication that Jesus was good-looking and sexy. In fact there is a passage in the prophet Isaiah that is taken as referring to Jesus. It says this:

"He had no form or majesty that we should look at him/nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity; and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account." (Isaiah 53. 2-3.) He said.

While this might not be conclusive evidence, it's quite possible that Jesus was no Jewish Brad Pitt from Palestine.

On the other hand, why wouldn't God create a perfect Son?

"Anything that is sexy is going to attract people. People who might not go to the movie might want to check it out, particularly non-Christians," says Rev. Lisa Jenkins, senior pastor of St. Matthew's Baptist Church in Harlem.

"I don't see a problem with Jesus being attractive given our cultural context," she says. "I don't recall a Jesus who was not appealing to the eye. That's Hollywood."

Jenkins is more concerned about what she considers an inaccurate portrayal of Jesus' ethnicity.

The Rev. James Martin, SJ, editor-at-large for America Magazine, and author of the coming book, "Jesus: A Pilgrimage," agrees.

"God did not choose to incarnate himself in Laguna Beach," he says.

"He chose to incarnate Himself at a certain place, at a certain time in a certain person." And that person was a Palestinian Jew.

"Many people have a hard time with the humanity of Jesus ... the closer He is to human physical perfection, the easier it is for some to accept Him."

Martin added, there is danger in that. A physically perfect Jesus makes Him into a God pretending to be man. When Jesus was both human and divine.

"He was like us in all things, except sin, as the theology goes,"

"That means, He had a body, He got sick, He got tired, He may have sprained an ankle or two. There are passages in the Gospel showing Him falling asleep because He was tired. We tend to airbrush the physical imperfections away." he said.

The actor reportedly told The New York Times he doesn't want his looks to distract from the movie...

but, "If the message of Jesus was love, hope and compassion, and I can bring that to more people by being a more appealing Jesus, I am happy with that."

Boko - haram onslaught in Adamawa!

Thirty seven people were reportedly killed in Adamawa, north-east Nigeria by men suspected to be members of the Boko Haram Islamic militant sect.
This came a day after about fifty students of Federal Government College, Yobe were massacred by members of the terrorist group.
Reports from Adamawa suggest that the militants staged three separate attacks on innocents citizens in Shuwa, Kirchinga and Michika. A theological college was also affected in the deadly attack.
According to information received, the gunmen divided themselves into three groups and separately attacked the three locations.
In Shuwa, several buildings were burnt, including a Christian theological college and a section of a secondary school.
A local resident, Kwaje Bitrus, said three bodies were recovered from the seminary and a total of 20 were killed in and around the village.
In Kirchinga, it was said that the gunmen were all dressed in military uniform — a tactic frequently employed by the militant fighters in previous, similar attacks.
In a statement, the military confirmed the attacks on multiple communities in Adamawa but said that only one soldier and three civilians were killed. Troops repelling the raids also killed six suspected Islamists, according to the statement.
The military further claimed that the militants, “in desperation for money and food…looted and burnt banks (and) shops”, and were trying to escape across the Cameroon border.
The top military commander in Adamawa last week ordered that the state’s border with Cameroon be sealed to block Boko Haram’s purported escape routes.
Residents in Michika described earlier how people fled to the nearby foothills when the attackers arrived in four-wheeled drive trucks and on motorcycles.
Michika resident Abdul Kassim said militants arrived at about 9:30 pm (2030 GMT) on Wednesday, “armed with RPGs (rocket propelled grenades) and explosives which they hurled indiscriminately at homes and public buildings”.
The attack reportedly lasted for more than four hours. Various residents said four banks were razed, as well as hundreds of shops, a police station, government buildings and dozens of homes.
One witness, who requested anonymity, said the village looked like a “war zone” and that some 90 percent of all businesses had been destroyed.
The military and police however declined to comment when contacted by AFP.
Adamawa is one of three northeastern states placed under emergency rule in May 2013 following waves of Boko Haram attacks.
The top military commander in the state last week ordered the complete closure of the border with Cameroon in hope of blocking the movements of insurgents and weapons.
The ongoing military offensive has failed to crush the insurgency and nearly 300 people is believed to have  been killed in a range of attacks already this year.
The United Nations meanwhile said on Thursday that nearly 300,000 people, more than half of them children, had fled their homes in the three states between May 2013 and  January 1st 2014, because of the violence.

Lessons from life's experiences!

From experiences life brought my way, I have learnt these few keys to living a more fulfilling life:

Never live your life to please people, for no matter how hard you try, they will always find faults,

Live for you, make your choices, choose your association(s) based on your ideology, believe and goals, make your mistakes, forgive your self and learn from every single one of them,

Always forgive others even when it hurts,

Don't spend your precious time wondering why certain things happen or why certain people choose not to treat you fairly..it's their issue not yours,

Do not think so highly of your self for in so doing it is easier to ignore a lot of things,

Always walk away from trouble and if you must fight, ensure it is for a good course, do not join in a fight (campaign) you know nothing about,

Sometimes allow your self to be used,

Always listen and follow the still voice withing you,

Have respect for every one but fear only God.

Gain some working experience, but do not invest your youthful years into working and making money for others who will wake up one day to find faults and terminate your services, rather channel that energy and time into working and making some money for your self for in the long run, before you knew it you might have built a $million worth of business empire.

Learn to laugh always,

Don't ever be afraid to stand alone in a course you so believe in,

It's not necessary replying to every thing you hear about you, learn to ignore,

Listen more in conversations,

Pray to God always,

Be thankful for every gift that comes your way.

When ever you feel alone and afraid of the outcome of your life, remember that God is always good to all who put their trust in HIM.

Herbalist Who Makes Love Charms For Funs Girls Blows The Whistle On His Client!

There is no tale too strange or too bizarre in our society as the money craze has driven people to stages of desperation that provoke bouts of temporary insanity. Bottom power is a big business and some women have employed diabolical means to secure their treasure chests or their maga.
In this article, Sun newspapars reveals how one herbalist disclosed to a Delta born billionaire how his mistress had spent millions procuring love charms to make him leave his wife and family to marry her.

For eight months, Delta State-born billionaire and estate developer, Chief Greg (surname withheld) abandoned his wife, children and home in Abuja travelling across the world with his newly found mistress, Augustina Chiegeonu. He thought he had found true love but discovered after he had lost a huge chunk of his wealth to a strange lover that he had indeed been under a spell.

According to the victim, “I met her in one of my business trips in Lagos and months later she was all that matters to me. Could you believe that I left home for the past eight months travelling from one country to another with her? I spent millions of naira funding her various boutiques in Lagos and Abuja. I bought houses for her in Abuja and was ready to give her all, till this man who God will continue to bless rescued me”,
he said after he recovered his senses. Chief Greg was let loose only after a quarrel burst the deal between Augustina and the herbalist, Segun Adesoye who prepared the love charm used on the billionaire businessman.

The middle aged herbalist based in Lagos sensationally told how he was contracted by Augustina to hypnotise the victim with love charm that will make Greg divorce his wife and marry her. Trouble started when part of the deal which was for the man to get married to Augustina dragged for months.

Sometime in November 2013, the lady who was infuriated having expended more than N5.5million on the contract without any positive result, alerted the police at Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.  She alleged that the herbalist defrauded her. As such, Adesoye was promptly arrested. Unhappy that Augustina had to go to the point of getting him arrested, the herbalist decided to let the cat out of the bag.

Having secured his bail from police detention, he sought to see the victim who was still spell-bound under the voodoo. According to Adesoye “She (Augustina) is one of my major customers who I normally mix concoction to trap wealthy men. It may sound like a joke to you but the truth is that my charm which I normally procure from Osun State has its potency. She visited my house which I normally use as a shrine with the picture of this man (showing the photograph of Greg).

She said that the man is very rich but stingy to a fault. Initially I told her to bring N1.8million to enable me start the process.
We agreed that as soon as the man starts yielding to her demands, she would pay the balance of N700, 000.  “Few weeks later, she returned with my balance grateful that my charm was doing wonders. Normally she is expected to renew the charm every two months or it will lose its effect.”

The herbalist further revealed that when Augustina returned for the renewal, she requested that she wanted the victim to marry her. “I made it clear to her that this is a more sophisticated charm and will cost her more. The truth is that our charm is paid for according to the worth of the man in question. Most of the times, these wealthy men have their own juju which makes it much more diffcult to penetrate.

She agreed to pay any amount as she has already made millions from the man. I asked her to bring more of his personal effects, which includes hair from his private part, his underwear, and sample of his sperm, his shoes and the picture of his wife.

I also asked her to bring the sum of N8million for the charm. Part of the money will be used to procure all the ingredients needed for the sacrifice. I also gave her an assurance that I will return part of the money if the man fails to marry her within three months”, the herbalist narrated.

He claimed that he had to travel to Benin in Edo State in search of a stronger charm when he discovered that the spirit of the man was becoming difficult to crack. “At Osun Mountain, I was warned that it will be difficult t break his spirit to the point that he would ask her hand in marriage. Because I knew I had a name to protect, I travelled as far as to Benin in search of solution and I was told the same thing.

The only alternative is to keep him spell bound under the control of the woman or kill him. “I knew that if, the man should die, my contract with Augustina will end. I decided to ask for more money with the excuse that the amount she brought was not enough.

I knew she was making so much money from that man and without my help, it wouldn’t have been possible”, he added.

On why he decided to let the cat out of the bag, the herbalist said:

She is an ingrate. For the fact that my charm was able to hypnotise the man in the first place should be enough for her. I was shocked that she used her friends who are policemen to arrest me for fraud. It was then I decided to save this man from her. Shortly after I secured my bail, I contacted him (Greg) on phone.

I had his numbers all the while because these are some of the things that our customers have to submit about their clients. “I contacted him and we agreed to meet at a police station and that was how I assisted him in breaking the covenant. It was then that he regained his senses and sought his family. I dare Augustina to come and challenge me again and I am ready to expose all those that I helped her to hypnotise who are still under her spell.

She should be concerned with appeasing the gods or she will become insane”, Adesoye boasted.

Happy to regain his senses but financially wrecked already, Greg in an interview  thanked his stars and those who prayed for him that his lost soul be found.
“I am totally shocked and never believed that such a thing is real. I met her on one of my business trips in Lagos and months later she was all that matters to me. Could you believe that I left home for the past eight months travelling from one country to another with her? I spent millions of naira funding her various boutiques in Lagos and Abuja. I bought houses for her in Abuja and was ready to give her all, till this man (the herbalist) who God will continue to bless rescued me.”

According to him, he was initially angry when the herbalist who called severally demanding to see him. “I was so angry but when he told me that it was a matter of life and death, I asked him to meet me at a police station. The truth dawned on me when he brought out my favourite underwears which I thought I had misplaced. My family pictures and so many other things.

It was then I realised the damage that I have done to myself and my family.  For the past eight months, I slept from one five star hotel to another with this wicked woman. It was God who said that my time to die has not come. Most especially, I thank God for my wife who did not lose hope and prayed that I will return one day. I am re-dedicating my life to God. ”

Excited that her husband returned in one piece, Saturday Sun learnt that his wife who could not understand why her husband suddenly decided not to pick her calls and whenever he eventually picks them, will insist that he was busy doing business in other countries and should not be disturbed. Meanwhile Augustina is currently on the run after she heard that Greg had regained his senses.

A police source however said that Augustina cannot be held accountable for love crime as the law does not admit such. The source added that the herbalist may however still face charges depending on legal advice While reacting to the legal implication of the incident, a lawyer based in Ikorodu area of Lagos,  Kazim Omo-tunde, said that in law such an occurrence is known as Volenti non fit Injuri  meaning that someone who deliberately enters trouble can’t complain. “ I believe that the lady must have had sex with him severally in exchange for that amount of wealth. It is rather unfortunate but it remains true that there are people out there who will stop at nothing to extort money from people. The man should accept his fate and learn to bargain properly”, the legal practitioner stated.

Kim Kardashian Silences Butt Implant Rumors With Cheeky "FlashBACK Friday"!

Kim K again disproved rumors that she recently received butt implants by posting a cheeky flashback Friday photo highlighting her most famous asset, from an event five years earlier.

The Kim shared the picture via Twitter on Friday, Feb. 21.

It shows her posing on the red carpet with her back to the camera, her derriere on display in a clingy, super-short turtleneck dress. "#FlashBACKFriday lol," she jokingly captioned the snap, which was taken at SlimFast's Style Your Slim event on Jan. 8, 2008.

This came at the heels of Kardashian's extended twitter rant on Wednesday earlier this week, in which she slammed reports that her famous curves are fake. "I'm seeing all these nonsense tabloids claiming I have butt implants-injections. Get a life!".

Khloe Kardashian will always be my wife - Lamar Odom!

Looks like any break up between Lamar and Khloe is not goint to be that easy, going by interview Lamar granted with US Weekly after a Feb. 21 press conference for his new team Baskonia (aka Laboral kutxa), where the basketball player said (Khloe) Kardashian would "always" be his wife, even if they divorce -- which he's hoping doesn't happen.

"I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what,"
"Who knows? We don't know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife."

The athlete went on to say that marrying the reality star was one of the greatest things he'd ever done. "Those were some of the best years of my life," he shared. "Being married and being married to a woman I decided to marry was, besides having children, the most important thing in my life."

Admitting his mistakes odom says: "We all have regrets, but the thing is to learn from life. There's no one in this room, no one in this world who can say, 'I'm mistake-free, I have made no mistakes,'"

"If you can introduce me to that person, please introduce me to that person. Let me meet him and speak to him."

"I won a sixth Man of the Year award while I shot [our reality] show -- people forget that,"

"I think it's easy for people to say, 'Because you do this, you must be this kind of person, vain or uptight or meant to people.' People have a sense of who you may be because of the job you do. That's unfair judgement," he continued.

Explaining further, he said: "I think we prejudge a little bit too much these days because there's so much access to everything about the world. It's easy for us to look at a YouTube video or a program that doesn't turn off and say, 'This guy must be this way,'"  "I understand how powerful TV is, but there's nothing I would do different."

Odom appears to be focused on getting back to his passion for basketball, explained of his contract with Laboral Kutxa,  where he got the #7 jersey.  "This is the love of the game for Lamar,"  "I've got a winner mentality, the mentality of a champion."
"I feel good and every day I'm getting closer to closer to being on the court, but it's a work in progress,"

"I've been away from the game for a little bit, but it's going to take some time and I have to be patient. When me and coach Sergio and the organization get together and think it's the right time [to be on the court], that will be the right time." he added during the press conference at the Fernando Buesa Arena in Vitoria.

AKOLADE AROWOLO sentenced to death for wife's murder!

Information reaching our news desk revealed that an Ikeja High Court, sitting in Lagos State today sentenced Mr Akolade Arowolo to  death by hanging for killing his banker wife, Titilayo Arowolo on June 24, 2011.

The presiding judge, Justice Lateefa Okunnu while delivering her judgment on Friday, held that even though there was no eyewitness to the incident, the circumstantial evidence adduced by the prosecution had proved the murder charge against the convict beyond all reasonable doubt.
Mr Arowolo had denied the allegation, insisting that the deceased wife mistakenly killed herself with the knife she wanted to stab him with when they were having a quarrel.
Justice Okunnu relied on the testimony of the forensic pathologist, Professor John Obafunwa, who testified that there were at least 76 stab wounds found on the deceased.
Contrary to the convict’s claim during trial, Professor Obafunwa had testified that the injuries must have been caused by sharp weapon applied on the deceased and could not have been self-inflicted.
The prosecution led by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions, Mrs Olabisi Ogungbesan, reportedly called 15 witnesses among whom were police officers and the father, sisters and step-mother of the deceased.

Daily walking in Obedience and faith to God's calling!

God said to Abram, get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred and from thy father's house (traditional way of life, thinking, believes, your familiar zone) unto a land that I will show you ( a totally strange and new way of life, into the un-familiar).

Relating God's directives to Abram to our individual lives, when God calls us through the gift of salvation, He sometimes will not tell us exactly where (our respective destinies in His Kingdom  business here on earth) He is taking us to from the unset.

We don't always have an incline of what works HE has purposed to do here on earth through our lives. This can be most frustrating especially when we don't know the exact destination we are headed or what the entire journey entails. On the other hand, this journey requires that we be most attentive and in tune with God so as to know when HE says "tarry here, or it's time to pack up and continue or THIS IS THE PLACE, YOUR DESTINY".

Now, taking this journey does not mean we won't encounter challenges like: supposed delays at various stages of life, hostility, afflictions, betrayals and denials from loved ones, state of disparity and fear, the demons we fight in our lives as a result of  all the baggage we carried along from our father's house like Abram in Gen.: 12 vs 5, and may wonder if God is really in this with us,  but it is an act of faith and obedience which also carries promises of blessings along..."And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing".

We have to act in faith like Abram, get up and move in the direction He leads us through the holy spirit day by day, knowing that like He promised and delivered to Abraham, the destiny He has for us can only be flowing with milk and honey. "For I know my thoughts towards you says the Lord, thoughts of good and not of evil, and to bring you to an expected end".

All we have to do is just wake up daily, hand the wheel over to HIM and He will take care of the rest. The journey itself is a process that prepares us for our destiny in Christ.

Remain Blessed.
