Gov. Akpabio presents 2 Toyota SUVs to Tuface, wife; to sponsor 29 to couple’s Dubai wedding

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State shocked guests at the traditional wedding of the Nigerian hip pop sensation on Friday when he announced a gift of two brand new Toyota Prado SUVs to the musician and his wife, Annie Macaulay.

At the event in Eket, Mr. Akpabio also announced that the state would bankroll an all-expense paid trip for 29 delegates from the state to attend the white wedding of the couple fixed for Dubai, the United Arab Emirate on March 23.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Akwa Ibom State, I have decided to donate two brand new Toyota SUVs to the couple,” the governor announced with glee. “Also 29 Akwa Ibom delegates will join the wedding which is billed to come up in Dubai.”

He also promised to rehabilitate the Eket-Ibeno Road ahead of the child dedication of Tuface and Annie.

The event was scheduled for noon but did not begin until 4p.m. Governor Akpabio, as usual,  arrived the venue around 5:20 p.m. in the company of Senators Helen Esuene and Aloysius Etok.

When the two love birds got engaged on Valentine’s Day last year, many thought a star-studded wedding was in the offing. But they instead settled for a private civil marriage in Lagos, shortly after.

Tuface defended the decision back then, saying it was largely due to the deep respect he had for the feelings and emotions of the two major characters/lovers in his life – Sunmbo Ajaba and Pero Adeniyi.

 The couple have now fixed a star-studded wedding and honeymoon for faraway, Dubai, United Arab Emirates on March 23.

Kanu Loses N1.4 Billion In Hotel Business; His MD Arrested For Fraud

Ex-Nigeria star Nwankwo Kanu has lost N1.4bn (about $100m) to fraudulent activities involving top management staff in his hotel. Consequently, a top executive of the hotel has been arrested and charged to court by the police in Lagos.

Managing Director of Hardley Suites Hotel in Lagos, Ayoola Gam Ikon, and a senior staff of the hotel, Oke Samuel, have been arraigned for allegedly stealing the N1.4bn belonging to the football star.

They were arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate’s court on a 19-count charge of felony to wit, obtaining money under false pretense.

The police alleged in charge suit No. K/8/2013 that Ikon was arrested following a complaint by the management of Hardley Suites Limited, Nwankwo Kanu and Ogbonna Kanu, that Ikon between 2005 and 2012 allegedly defrauded them of the sum of about N1.4bn on the pretense of using the money to expand the existing facilities of the hotel by constructing and furnishing of additional blocks of 30 suites and conference facilities.

But he allegedly failed to use the money for the purpose and allegedly converted the money to his personal use. He was also alleged to have forged a special resolution purportedly made by the board of directors of Hardley Suites Limited to obtain loans of N187m, N50m and N493m from Skye Bank Plc without authorization.

The offences, according to the prosecutor A.M. Animashaun, contravenes sections 8 (a) 1 (a) of the advanced fee fraud and other fraud related offences Act 2006 as applicable in Lagos State.

The accused pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Chief Magistrate, O.O. Oshin admitted the first defendant to bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties must be the defendant himself; the other should be a civil servant on level 16.

She also admitted the second defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000, with two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties must be a level 16 civil servant while the other must be working with a reputable company.

She adjourned the matter till April 4, 2013.

Police Find Loaded Gun In Woman's v*g*na

 Police arrested a woman during a drugs raid - and found a loaded handgun hidden in her v*g*na. Suspect Christie Dawn Harris, 28, had the weapon pointing up inside herself with just the handle sticking out.



A female officer made the startling find during a search in Oklahomana, US, which also uncovered bags of methamphetamine hidden up her bottom.

Justin Bieber collapses with breathing difficulties during latest O2 concert... but completes show before being taken to hospital

Singer Justin Bieber had to halt his show at London's O2 on Thursday night after collapsing and 'experiencing breathing difficulties' on stage.

The Baby hitmaker, who has had a controversial run at the concert venue this week, reportedly had to rush off stage and was looked at by doctors... but 15 minutes later he was back finishing the show in front of his fans.

And his manager Scooter Braun revealed while Bieber was missing from the stage that doctors had asked him to get looked at properly, 

but he insisted on coming out to finish the set regardless, before then heading to a hospital.

Lil' Kim, Plastic Surgery? Rapper Looks Different In New York City

Lil' Kim stepped out in New York City this week and she was looking a little different.

Lil' Kim hit New York on Wednesday to film MTV's "rapFix Live" and debut her new protégée, Tiffany Foxx, according to MTV News. Dressed in a leather and fur coat and wearing red lipstick, Lil Kim looked quite different from the Brooklyn rapper who first hit the scene in the 1990s.

When she sat down with New York's Power 105.1 "The breakfast Club" last year, Lil Kim was asked about her alledge cosmectics surgery by the show's host co-host, Charlamagne Tha God. But the 38-year-old didn't seem to appreciate the prying.

"Why would you ask me that?" she responded. "There's [sic] so many people who have surgery. You know? So, I don't know where that question is coming from."

The reality TV star was reportedly taken to hospital after feeling unwell on a flight from Paris to Los Angeles - and it was claimed there were concerns for her unborn baby.

However, a source close to the star downplayed the incident to E! News, explaining that although Kim did visit a doctor things are "all fine" now.

The insider added that the star is on "doctor-ordered rest".

"She's been working a lot and with the divorce, moving, etc, [she] just needs to take a little rest," the source said

Hitting the treadmill: Kim has been working out seven days a week in a bid to keep her pregnancy weight gain under control, but has reportedly now been advised by doctors to slow down.
