War on terrorism: Jonathan calls for more international co-operation!
President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on Tuesday called for greater global co-operation and co-ordination in the war against terrorism.
Jonathan made the call while receiving the new ambassadors of Israel, Russia, Greece, Algeria and Senegal who presented their letters of credence to him during separate visits to the Presidential Villa.
He said Nigeria and other countries would benefit immensely from greater collaboration amongst their security agencies in efforts to combat domestic and international terrorism.
“Nigeria will welcome increased co-operation with countries that are more experienced in such matters like the on-going operations against domestic terrorist groups,’’ the president told the ambassadors.
Jonathan also told the new Israeli Ambassador, Mr. Uriel Palti, that he looked forward to visiting Israel later in the year.
He said the visit would afford him the opportunity of discussing ways of enhancing bilateral co-operation between Nigeria and Israel with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The other ambassadors received by the president were Mr. Alekos Oikonomopoulos from Greece, Mr. Nikolay Udovichenko from Russia, Mr. Belkacem Smaili from Algeria and Mr. Amadou Habibou from Senegal.
Jonathan assured the ambassadors that the Federal Government would fully support their efforts to strengthen existing cordial relations between Nigeria and their countries.
On their part, the new ambassadors all expressed their delight at being posted to Nigeria.
They also promised to do everything possible to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between their countries and Nigeria.

with hot electric iron on a 12 year-old girl, Favour Emmanuel.

18 year old cuts off father's head after he raped her in their Papua New Guinea village home!
A teenage girl chopped her father's head clean off with a bush knife after he raped her in their home in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
Now residents of the village have formed a protective ring around the 18-year-old, refusing to hand her over to the police because they agreed her 'evil' father deserved to die.
A local church leader, Pastor Lucas Kumi from the village of Rang in the Western Highlands, said the entire community would refuse to allow the girl to be subjected to any official investigation.
'The people and leaders in our area went and saw the headless body of the father after the girl reported the incident to them and explained why she had killed her father,' said Pastor Kumi.
He told the Post Courier newspaper that the father, in his mid-40s, raped his daughter when they were alone in their house after the mother and two other children from the family went to visit relatives for the night.
'The father went to his daughter's room in the night and raped her repeatedly.
'The father wanted to rape his daughter again in the morning and that was when the young girl picked up the bush knife and chopped her father's head off,' said Pastor Kumi.
'We've all agreed that she is free to stay in the community because the father deserved to die.
'The daughter did what she did because of the trauma and the evil actions of her father, so that is why we have all agreed that she remains in the community.'
He said a ring of protection had been placed around the girl, who will be kept away from any official investigation.
Death penalty: the government of Papua New Guinea has brought back the death penalty in order to combat serious crimes
'The community have also agreed not to conduct any formal burial service for the father.'
Crimes of rape, murder, suspected witch killings and prostitution are rife throughout Papua New Guinea and as a desperate attempt to stop the lawlessness the government recently re-introduced the death penalty for serious offences.
But at the weekend the Post Courier reported the results of an investigation into child prostitution, a report, it said, that will 'make you cringe.'
Children aged between 13 and 16, said the paper, were selling sex in the nightclubs of the capital, Port Moresby, five premises being reported to be engaged in the under-age prostitution trade.
Three non-government organisations have produced a report based on interviews with no less than 175 child sex workers.
'It's true - our girls, and especial school girls, are being bought and sold for sex,' said one of the investigators.
Real owner of Lagos mistery plane revealled!
A scrap plane formerly owned by the late
Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries, Ajah, Lagos, and which caused panic
in the city on Thursday as rumour spread that another aircraft had
crashed in Lagos.
It was learnt that the plane, which was
recently released to Capt Matthew Ekeinde, husband of Nollywood star,
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, was being dragged to Badagry area of the state
before its tyre burst. The incident forced the new owner to dump the
plane in a nearby filling station.
Hundreds of residents trooped out with
their smart phones and camera, and queued behind the gate of Dapsey Oil
filling station at Igando where the plane was parked.
A senior employee of the filling station
said the plane, with registration number N972TF, was being towed from
Muritala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja to Badagry when one of the tyres burst.
He said, “The plane was brought here
around 2am after one of its tyres burst. It was being towed by a red
vehicle, but after it got to Igando, they discovered it would be
difficult to get it to its destination with burst tyre, which was why
they brought it here.”
The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Damasus Ozoani, told the News Agency of Nigeria that the police provided escort for the plane.
He said, “About 12.45am, the command got a directive to escort the jet from MMIA Ikeja to Badagry by road.
“The operation was led by one Capt.
Matthew Ekeinde, but in the process of the journey, one of the jet’s
tyres burst at College Bus Stop and the jet could not move.
“It was parked at Dapsey Filling Station
along Igando for repairs. We have provided security for the plane until
it is moved to Badagry.”
PUNCH Metro observed that men of
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps were on the ground to
“ensure the safety of people” living in the area.
The Igando Divisional Police Officer, Adeoye Olugbemiga, came with his team around 12pm to control on-lookers.
In a short time, some of the residents turned the scene into an amusement park and began to pose and take shots near the plane.
One of our correspondents observed that the plane’s two wings had been chopped off and the cockpit was stuffed with nylons.
The Managing Director of the Nigerian
Airspace Management Agency, Nnamdi Udoh, in a statement, said the
aircraft had long been within the agency’s facility till Wednesday night
when it was removed.
Udoh said, “The aircraft that was
sighted by the residents was actually a junk one belonging to the late
Apostle Gabriel Oduyemi of Bethel Ministries.
“The aircraft was actually released to Capt Ekeinde who will be using it for educational purposes in Badagry, Lagos.”
Ekeinde confirmed on the telephone that the scrap plane belonged to him.
He said, “The aircraft will be situated in a multipurpose and entertainment centre which wlll be open very soon.
“When opened, the centre will be the first of its kind in West Africa.”

Kaduna man allegedly sedated & raped man who called him ‘uncle’ !
According to this story from Nigerian Tribune, a Kaduna based successful business man named Alhaji Habu (pictured left in hospital after being stabbed) invited Kabiru (pictured right) to his home, where he proceeded to drug his tea and have sex with him.
Kabiru claimed he was initially too weak
to fight him off when Alhaji Habu penetrated him but eventually managed
to gain enough strength to get the man he called 'uncle' off him, using a
knife.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Habu is telling a different story. He claimed Kabiru
came to his house and asked to spend the night, and in the middle of the
night Kabiru tried to rob him and attacked with him a knife. The first
explanation sounds more plausible.
It is a sad story, a frightening
betrayal of family trust. To many, it’s something that defies logic, because no
one has ever seen a male dog, despite its high libido, doing such a thing with
another male dog. For the fact a man was involved in it, and in a highly
cosmopolitan city like Kaduna where all kinds of women abound who could have
served that purpose for a fee, or even for free depending on how persuasive one
could be, many are now disturbed. The thinking in many quarters is that,
perhaps, the people of the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah are gradually reincarnating
in the crocodile city.
For Hajiya Fati, it’s a sad tale to
tell, but considering the degree of betrayal, she was prepared to go to any
length to seek justice for her son who was allegedly sedated, sodomised and
blackmailed by a businessman who hitherto was highly respected and revered by neighbors in the elitist Malali area of Kaduna metropolis.
Amid sobs, she prayed that such a thing would never happen again to any family, and hoped against hope that the dirty act would not be revealed to her ailing husband, the father of her son, Kabiru, who is now coping with the sad and painful experience he suffered in the hands of a close and trusted family friend – a man who had once played with him on his laps as a baby, but who would one day turn into a sex predator, forcefully gaining entry into his anal region after drugging him with a hot tea.

Narrating his ordeal, Kabiru, who
appears to be in his early 30s, said he was invited by Alhaji Habu to his
Malali house and was offered food to eat. After the meal, he vomited because he
was not feeling well. According to him, his host offered him tea, which he
drank and immediately, he fell asleep in the house, with no one around.
According to him, the tea, which he
suspected was drugged, threw him into a state of illusion, but he felt it when
Alhaji Habu allegedly penetrated him.
“He was already inside me and I tried
to free myself, but my body was weak because of the tea. I gained a little
strength and tried to push him aside, but he said he would give me whatever I
wanted if I could cooperate. I saw a knife and rushed for it but he held my
hand and slapped me, forcing me down. When I was able to grab the knife again,
he held my hand, and in the struggle, I was wounded. I fought with the knife to
free myself, screaming for help. It was late at night and when I was able to
push the door and escaped, I screamed and some people came to help me. The
police came from Malali Police Station and took us to the Garkuwa Hospital,” he
recounted.
Kabiru said he had never involved in such abnormal sexual act, and expressed sadness that a person he called ‘uncle’ could do such a thing to him.

Hajiya Fati insisted there was no
homosexual relationship between her son and one Alhaji Habu; but she maintained
the suspect had been well known to the family since when Kabiru was a baby, and
even married the sister of a close friend of hers.
“I was home sleeping, and around 2:00
a.m., the police came knocking. They said my son, Kabiru, had a fight with
someone and that they were both in a hospital badly wounded. We rushed to the
Garkuwa Hospital, and on sighting me, Kabiru said ‘Mama, look at what Alhaji
Habu did to me’. I was terrified and dumbfounded because my son was in bad
state, and something like water was dripping from his backside.
“Immediately, Alhaji Habu, who was bandaged
due to knife cuts on his body, also said ‘Hajiya, look at what Kabiru did to
me.’ He said my son came to his house to use his guinea brocade (kaftan) for a
wedding ceremony and decided to pass the night. He said that in the night, he
felt somebody stabbing him with a knife, and was even calling Kabiru to come to
his aid, not knowing that it was Kabiru that was stabbing him.
“I asked him why he didn’t call me to
inform me that Kabiru would be passing the night in his house. I said that even
if Kabiru stayed late in his house, he should have asked him to leave, since in
such (an elitist) area, one could not get a taxi or commercial motorcyclists at
late hours. But he said it was my son who came to his house, ate the food he
had cooked and vomited, drank tea afterward and decided to sleep in the house,
not knowing that he came to rob him.”
She said she could not tell Kabiru’s
father the sad story because he is old and very ill; expressing the fear that
such a story might worsen his already bad situation.
“All I want is justice to take its course. My son cannot be blackmailed. He (Alhaji Habu) has betrayed trust and I can never forget this sad incident. The religion of Islam is against this kind of thing; the heaven and the earth shake anytime this sin is committed. It is a very bad thing. I must fight for my fundamental human rights,” she said.

It was gathered that Habu’s wife has since deserted the family home, having
suspected that her husband was involved in an inappropriate relationship.
At the hospital where Alhaji Habu was
receiving treatment, he told reporters that Kabiru was in his house to rob him
and succeeded in wounding him with a knife. The reporters were, however,
prevented from having a detailed interview with the suspect, based on ‘orders
from above’.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the state police command, DSP Aminu Lawan, said he was aware of the incident but that investigations were still going on to unravel what actually took place during the encounter.
