Nelson Mandela is in 'vegetative state' and life support 'should be switched off', say doctors!

Medics treating Mr Mandela, who is entering his fourth week of hospital treatment for a recurring lung infection, have said the family should consider letting him go rather than “prolonging his suffering”, reports the news agency which cited a court document it had seen.

Doctors say Nelson Mandela is in 'vegetative state' and life support 'should be switched off'
Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, center, is embraced by her daughter Zindzi Mandela, second from left, as they leave the Mediclinic Heart Hospital on Thursday evening

"He is in a permanent vegetative state and is assisted in breathing by a life support machine," read the document, dated June 26, which was submitted by Mr Mandela’s oldest daughter Makaziwe and others in a court battle with another family faction over burial rights.
"The Mandela family have been advised by the medical practitioners that his life support machine should be switched off. Rather than prolonging his suffering, the Mandela family is exploring this option as a very real probability."
The claim came as Mr Mandela’s wife Graca spoke publicly for the first time about her 94-year-old husband, saying he was “fine” and not in too much pain.
Referring to Mr Mandela by his clan name, she said: "Madiba is sometimes uncomfortable. Sometimes he is in pain. But he is fine."

RAPPER 50 CENT is facing domestic violence charges after allegedly attacking his girlfriend.

It is claimed the In Da Club rapper kicked down a door and attacked the unnamed woman home, in California, during a bust-up on June 23.
He has been accused of causing over £4,500 of damage during the fight.
Fiddy – real name Curtis Jackson — reportedly left the scene before the police arrived but was later charged with one count of misdemeanour domestic violence and four counts of vandalism.
If convicted, he faces up to five years in jail and £30,000 in fines.
Police say they found the property ransacked with many broken items, including chandeliers, furniture and a television.

The woman said she had been in a three-year relationship with the star.
LA attorney Mike Feuer said: “Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office.

US website TMZ claim the victim is the mother of the rapper’s second child.
Last night the star tweeted a line from Michael Jackson classic Billy Jean – which contains the line “The kid is not my son.

He later claimed he had only tweeted the line because he was listening to the track.

He wrote: “I’m in the car I haven’t been arrested. I’m listing to MJ#SMSAUDIO”

He is set to appear in court on July 22.
