Lakeside shopper gives birth outside Primark store!

A shopper ended up giving birth outside a Primark store after she suddenly went into labour.
Lakeside shopping centre
The woman contacted security staff after her waters broke at the Intu Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex.
Although an ambulance was called and arrived quickly, the baby girl was delivered before they got to the scene on Thursday evening.
Paul Lancaster, regional manager of Intu, said the woman had been in "distress" but was now "doing well".
Staff at Primark provided towels for the woman on the second floor of the shopping complex.
She was screened off as she gave birth to her daughter, whose name is understood to be Deborah.
"In 23 years we've never had a birth at the site," said Mr Lancaster. "Plenty of ladies have broken water and gone off to hospital and no doubt a couple of babies have been conceived here.
"It all happened rather quickly before the ambulance could get there. They responded really quickly.
"We didn't think it was immediately going to happen but the baby was born on the spot."

Pres. Jonathan Lied! Massive Corruption Is Our Problem, Not Boko Haram – SERAP!

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has faulted President Goodluck Jonathan over his statement yesterday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland to the effect that “corruption was not the cause of all the problems confronting Africa.”
FORUM 9
The president had said that, “In terms of security, Boko Haram is the biggest challenge we have at the moment.”
In response, SERAP in a statement today signed by its executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni said that, “the statement by the president shows clearly that this government has not come to term with the reality of massive corruption at the highest level of government, and the devastation and suffering it has caused millions of innocent Nigerians.”
The organization said that, “The evidence of corruption and underdevelopment is staring this government in the face. Staying silent or simply wishing the problem away cannot be the way forward. What more will it take to convince the president that corruption is this country’s biggest problem, and that effective action is urgently required to end it, and address impunity of perpetrators?
“Hospitals without drugs, bad roads, poor electricity supply, contaminated and undrinkable water, collapsed educational system alone provide strong evidence of the devastation that missing $400 billion of public funds have done to this country. That this amount is missing has been confirmed by both the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes and House of Representatives reports,” the organization said.
The organization said that, “These indicators of bad governance and mismanagement of the country’s natural wealth and resources should serve as proof of the need for this government to put the fight against corruption at the very top of its agenda.”
The group said that, “Anyone with a simple knowledge of this country will know that the root cause of insecurity and Boko Haram is the decades of corruption and impunity of perpetrators, and failure of successive governments to provide quality education to Nigerian children. The damage that corruption has done to this country is nearly impossible to describe.”
“What millions of suffering Nigerians need from this government is a clear commitment to recover the over $400 billion missing public funds and to spend this to achieve sustainable development and respect for basic socio-economic rights of Nigerians.”

Nigeria’s Economy Is Threatened As Excess Crude Account Gets Depleted – Okonjo-Iweala!

Nigeria’s economy is threatened, the Minister of Finance and Supervising Minister of the Economy, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, yesterday. This is because of continuous decline in the nation’s Excess Crude Account.
Nigeria’s Economy Is Threatened As Excess Crude Account Gets Depleted – Okonjo-Iweala
In an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Mrs Iweala said the reduction of the Excess Crude Account to about $2.5 billion signifies that the country’s economy is at greater risk than it was in the past .
As regards efforts made to contain the impending danger, she said,
“We have tried to set the country’s main parameters in a very modest way. We have made our budget at a very reasonable benchmark price for oil.
“This is to shield us and to ensure we are not subjected to any volatility there may be in the oil markets.”
The Finance Minister has meanwhile predicted a 6.75 per cent expansion in Nigeria’s economy this year as against a growth of 6.5 per cent in 2013.
“In Nigeria we are growing very fast, but that growth has come with increasing inequality and lack of inclusion of certain segments of the population.”
The Excess Crude Account has gone down  from $8.65 billion at the end of 2012 to $2.5 billion presently. Nigeria’s external reserves have also dropped 11 per cent from last year’s peak of $48.85 billion, recorded in May.

PDP Insists Seats Of Defected Lawmakers Must Be Declared Vacant!

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wants the seats of National Assembly members who decamped to the  All Progressives Congress (APC) to be declared vacant. PDP related this to an Abuja High court as they filed an objection to a suit filed by 51 members including Hon. members who left PDP for the APC. The suit was filed to stop their seats being declared vacant.
PDP Insists Seats Of Defected Lawmakers Must Be Declared Vacant
The defendants of the suit which was brought before Justice Ahmed Mohammed on Wednesday are: the PDP National Chairman, the Senate President, the Speaker of the house of representatives and the INEC commissioners
The plaintiffs are asking the court to stop the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives from declaring their seats and those of legislators who  intend to switch parties vacant. They also want the court to stop INEC from conducting any bye elections to fill their seats
PDP’s response to the suit was not heard on Wednesday but a copy of their preliminary objection which was available to journalists still wants the seats of the lawmakers who defected to be declared vacant
“Both the law and the PDP Constitution are very clear on the issues raised by the plaintiff. One cannot abandon the political party upon whose platform he was elected as a member of parliament and then proceed to another political party while holding unto that parliamentary seat.
“Additionally, the law should take its course in that the seat of any of the plaintiffs who decamp to other political parties should be declared vacant.”
PDP insists the suit by the lawmakers should be thrown out as they lacked legal standing to sustain it. They termed it an abuse of court process since the matter was an intra-party affair.
The lawmakers through their suit revealed that they went to court to protect their rights as members of the National Assembly as a result of threats by the PDP to declare their seats vacant.
The ruling PDP however argues that the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives enjoy immunity for acts done on the floor of the Senate and the House of Representatives respectively and this includes conducting proceedings towards declaring their seats vacant.

8 months pregnant woman dies after killing her 3 children, jumping off roof!

A woman in the United Kingdom died of head injuries after killing her 3 children in an incident which has been described as unavoidable.
23-year-old Fiona Anderson was 8 months pregnant when she jumped off a storey building after drowning her 3 young children in her home.
The lifeless bodies of Levina, 3, Addy, 2, and 11-month-old Kyden were found after their mother’s and it has been revealed that Fiona was suffering from depression after being separated from the children’s father. The deaths of a heavily pregnant young mum who jumped from a car park and the three children she is believed to have killed could NOT have been prevented, an investigation has found.
Officers found the bodies of Fiona Anderson’s tragic tots, Levina, three, Addy two, and a son aged 11 months at her flat after she plunged from the top floor of the nearby multi-storey building. Friends said the 23-year-old had been gripped by depression since splitting from their dad Craig McLelland and the day before the deaths she had posted a chilling message on Facebook warning she might harm them. One, who did not want to be named, said:
“We heard she put a status on her Facebook page last night, saying, ‘My babies will go with me’.
Officers later said they were not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident. Suffolk Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) has today published its Serious Case Review into how public agencies worked with the Anderson family prior to the deaths. It found that attempts to engage with the family had failed but there were no warning signs to suggest the children were in immediate danger. Report author Ron Lock said:
There had been no known history of either the mother or the father intentionally causing physical harm to the children, or of any self-harming episodes by the parents themselves.
“In this respect, the deaths of the children and their mother were completely unexpected. It was not predictable or thought in any way likely.”

‘He said my private parts need deliverance’: Teenager narrates how a pastor raped and impregnated her!

A pastor’s sexual urges may have landed him in serious trouble with the Police.
Kingsley the pastor and general overseer of  Zion International Christian Church, Idah, Kogi State was allege to have slept with an 18-year-old girl identified as Mary after deceiving her into thinking she was possessed with demons which could only be exorcised through sex.
The pastor was said to have had carnal knowledge of the girl who is the daughter of his Sunday School teacher and according to the police, the suspect was arrested after the girl had refused to abort the pregnancy which belonged to the Pastor.
According to the state Commissioner of Police, Seidu Madawaki who paraded the suspect before newsmen,  he said:
After impregnating the girl, he attempted to abort the pregnancy by giving her some liquid substances mixed with olive oil which she refused to drink, he said.
Speaking with Crime Watch, the victim said she came to join her parent from the village around November last year when the pastor spotted her in the church on the pretext that she had ‘a wild demonic spirit’ in her and then ordered her to see him after the church service for deliverance. Frightened, she said she went to meet the pastor immediately after the service.
“He told me that my waist and private parts have been ravaged by demons and until deliverance was carried out, I may not be able to have any child in life.
“The Man of God’ frightened me and said he would only cast out the demons from me through sexual intercourse but he warned me not to tell anybody on the mode of deliverance.
“After praying into an olive oil, he asked me to undress while he rubbed my waist and private parts with the anointing oil mixed with some substances, he then undressed himself and used the same oil  on his private part before he descended on me and started to do the thing.”
“But I discovered that I was pregnant last week when my mother noticed my conduct and I had to reveal everything to her even though he warned me not to tell anybody,” She revealed.
However, the 37-year old pastor denied the allegation saying, that all he did was to cast out the demons in her, using the anointing oil. He said that some church members who were envious of his spiritual rise were the one who ganged up against him because his ministry was experiencing ‘exponential growth’ The CP warned parents to put more attention on their female children even in religious centres,  saying there are many fake pastors outside there.
