Incredible....17 year old player who looks older than his age?

This Lazio player pictured below says he's 17 years old and no one bought his story.
17 Year Old Player Who Looks Older Than His Age (See For Yourself) Quits Social Media
Joseph Minala from Cameroon was forced to shut down his instagram and Facebook accounts following abuse over his age.
People think he is a guy in his 30s claiming to be 17.
It was gathered that the midfielder tried to convince his followers that he didn't lie about his age by sharing a pic of his passport which showed his birth date on his instagram page but that didn't convince anyone.
The abuse continued and he was forced to shut down his instagram page. He also filtered out Twitter pictures of himself and deleted his Facebook profile.
"Envy is the weakness of man, and those with a poor soul hurt others when you are in Serie A. Love you! Forza Lazio." Joseph tweeted after deleting his Facebook page.

Minala joined the Italian giants in December 2013.

But bross, you should have applied as a couch instead....no hard feelings here....one love man....lol

Obesere's rape case transferred to SCID!

According to Vanguard news, the case involving popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, also known as Obesere, arrested for allegedly raping a 29-year-old business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya, in his Okota residence may have been  transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID.

The embattled musician preferred the SCID to the  Isolo Police division because the DPO had insisted on the matter going to court.
Normally, it is  the Divisional Police Officer at Isolo Division, Aminu Ibrahim, that should have ordered the transfer of the case to SCID for further investigations.

But Obesere was alleged to have used his contacts in the police to have the case transferred to SCID.

A Police source also disclosed that Obesere found it difficult to pressurize the DPO at Isolo into striking out the matter or persuade the victim to accept a settlement.

The source, who craved anonymity, also said Obesere contacted some top citizens to wade into the matter by persuading the DPO to soft-pedal on the  matter but they backed down when they discovered that the police have incriminating evidence against the musician.

Meanwhile, the victim, Olaiya, recently told Vanguard that she had relocated to her home town, Sagamu in Ogun State, where she is currently receiving treatment for the rape incident.

Olaiya, who reportedly spoke with Vanguard on the telephone, said:

“As I speak with you, I am in Sagamu, my home town, where I have been  receiving traditional treatment since the incident occurred.
I bled for more than two weeks —Victim
“I bled for more than two weeks after Alhaji Obesere raped me and inserted his ring into my private part. The incident occurred on February 12, 2013 and I have spent a lot of money treating myself.
“The DPO, Isolo Police division, took pity on me and refused to give in to Obesere’s pressure to  strike out the case and God will bless him for that.
“But last week I was informed that the case had been transferred to the SCID and my Investigating Police Office, IPO, at Isolo asked me to come to the station on Tuesday for the transfer.
“But when I got to the SCID, I discovered the IPO, who took over the case, one Mr. Jacob, I don’t know his rank, became hostile to me.
“You need to see how this man treated me. He started by asking me to write a new statement and when I tried to explain that I had written a statement at Isolo division, he rebuffed my explanation and insisted I wrote a new one.
They threatened to kill me
“Afterwards, they started threatening me. The IPO, Alhaji Obesere, and some of his brothers, who were present there, asked me to stop the journalists from publishing my story and if I don’t, I will be a dead person.
“I was so frightened when they said this and each time my phone rang someone would pick it up to know who was calling.
“Later, they discovered  I wasn’t going to break, then they started begging me and promised to take care of me. Alhaji Obesere even said he was going to take me to the best hospital for treatment.
“At the end, I rose to leave and they offered to drop me in my place. The IPO also insisted that I should follow them. Instead of taking me to my area, they took me to Obesere’s house and the woman who introduced me to him was also there.
“While I was with them I alerted the police at Isolo and told them where I was.
“But yesterday, they called after they saw the publication and started threatening again to kill me.
“I am highly terrified, that was why I travelled back  to my home to get some treatment.”

FG shuts unity schools in Yobe, Borno, Adamawa!

Following reports submitted by the principals of the unity schools in the three states, the Federal Government has shut down five Federal Government Colleges in Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states, following the killings of school children by members of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, who have been attacking schools.

Supervising Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, communicated the government‘s approval for the closure of the schools in a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Simeon Nwakaudu, on Wednesday in Abuja.
The schools affected by the closure are Federal Government Girls College, Munguno, and the Federal Science and Technical College, Lassa, both in Borno State; Federal Government College, Potiskum, and the Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, both in Yobe State; as well as the Federal Science and Technical College, Michika, Adamawa State.

The schools were considered to be located “within the high security risk areas of the North-East geo-political zone.”
“The schools are to remain closed until security situation in the states improves. The teachers of the affected schools would also be absorbed by the new schools,” a source told our correspondent.

It will be recalled that Boko Haram members last Tuesday attacked Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, Yobe State, killing no fewer than 30 students.

The PUNCH news had in an exclusive report had said government was considering the option of closing unity schools in the North-East.

Conflict or compromise: Five possible ways to end the Ukraine crisis!

Tom Foreman shared on CNN a detailed analysis of 5 possible ways the Ukrainian crisis could end, details below:

As so often happens in big international confrontations, Ukraine is devolving into a complicated mess from which no one has yet outlined a reasonable retreat acceptable to all sides. Russia did not push into Crimea just to put its tanks in reverse and go home. The Ukrainian government can't very well tolerate a land grab within 400 miles of Kiev. And the big Western powers, including the United States, have raised so many threats and objections, they will look weak, dishonest, or both if nothing is done now.
So let's sort through some options as laid out by many of our expert analysts on CNN.

Going to the guns: This is a good one to dispense with first, because no one wants it. Ukraine, absent massive and sustained outside help, would be decimated by the Russian bear. The Russians are better trained, better equipped and better funded. By virtue of geography and their superior navy, they would start the fight with Ukraine 60 percent encircled by hostile forces. But Russia has reason to keep the pistols holstered, too. Turning eastern Ukraine into a battlefield would disrupt critical industry, agriculture, and oil and gas sales in the region for years. Also, a pitched battle could draw in other players, and then the whole World War III discussion lights up.

Russia retreats: Unlikely. They didn't steam into Crimea just for a getaway weekend. The Russians have important assets to protect there, and that does not necessarily mean the 60 percent of the Crimean population that grew up speaking Russian. The vaunted Black Sea Fleet counts on its Sevastopol port for year-round access (via Istanbul) to the warm waters of the Mediterranean. Arguably, the fear of losing that route to an unfriendly Ukrainian government was what drove Russia to take Crimea in the first place.

Russia retreats with some conditions: More likely. What conditions? Crimea votes to separate from Ukraine and become a semi-independent nation with great affection for Russia (read: a puppet state ready to do whatever Moscow wants). Or Russia gets a permanent agreement to turn Sevastopol into Russian territory, like the arrangement the United States has with Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. Either way, Russia denies ever having designs on all of this even as the mysterious troops in the peninsula melt away, the rest of the world grumbles and Ukraine goes back to trying to pay its debts.

Russia advances: Not content with Crimea and eager to show Kiev just who they are messing with, the Russians storm across the border and take much of eastern Ukraine. No one knows if this is in Russian President Vladimir Putin's plans, but if it happens ... see option 1.

The Western World turns on the squeeze play: The White House appears to want a unified effort in which nations all over the globe use their political and economic might to punish Russia and leave the new Ukrainian government triumphant. Problem is, several big countries seem reluctant to take that course, and unless everyone is on the same page, any sanctions would be weakened. And even though it was hit hard in 2008 by the recession, Russia is not Syria, Iran, or North Korea. This is a big nation that is unlikely to buckle quickly to any amount of pressure.

There are plenty of other possibilities, but conventional wisdom says these are the most likely options at the moment. The biggest danger? Everyone is wrong ... and some unforeseen, uncontrolled options arise, making the situation not better, but even worse.

Niger extradites Muammar Qaddafi's son, Libyan government says!

The Libyan government says Niger has extradited Muammar Qaddafi's son al-Saadi, who fled as his father's regime crumbled in 2011 and who was under house arrest in the desert West African nation ever since.

The government says al-Saadi -- one of the deposed Libyan leader's eight children -- will be treated "in accordance with international law."
A Libyan official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations, says al-Saadi arrived early on Thursday at the Tripoli airport and was transferred to a prison in the capital.
Al-Saadi, allegedly known for his love of professional soccer and playboy lifestyle, is wanted by Libyan authorities but not by the International Criminal Court.
His brother, Seif al-Islam, is reportedly held by a militia, which refuses to hand him over to the central government for trial.

US freezes $458 million Abacha loot in largest kleptocracy seizure ever!

The United States has frozen more than $458 million that former Nigerian leader Sani Abacha and his conspirators obtained through corruption and hid in bank accounts around the world, the U.S. Justice Department said on Wednesday.
About $313 million was restrained in bank accounts in the Bailiwick of Jersey and $145 million was restrained in bank accounts in France, the department said in a statement.
The department said it was pursuing additional holdings in the United Kingdom with an expected value of at least $100 million, but that the exact amount would be determined later.
Abacha died in 1998 at age 54. Nigeria has for years been fighting to recover his money, but companies linked to the Abacha family have gone to court to prevent repatriation.
The former military dictator looted between $3 billion and $5 billion of public money during his five years ruling Africa’s top oil producer from 1993 to 1998, according to Transparency International.
In November, the U.S. Justice Department filed a lawsuit seeking the recovery of money that had been identified in overseas bank accounts. A judge in Washington, D.C., unsealed the lawsuit on Wednesday.
Named with Abacha as conspirators in the suit were his son Mohammed Sani Abacha and Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, whom the suit called their associate.
They laundered money through the purchase of bonds backed by the United States using U.S. financial institutions, according to prosecutors.
Last month, U.S. arrest warrants for the assets were enforced in France as well as in the Bailiwick of Jersey off the coast of Normandy, through mutual legal assistance requests and in the United Kingdom through litigation, the Justice Department said.
The assets were held in banks including Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC Holdings PLC and Banque SBA, according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit also seeks the forfeiture of five corporate entities registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Aviation workers suspend strike!

Less than 24 hours after President Goodluck Jonathan sacked four heads of aviation agencies, four trade unions in the sector have shelved their threats to embark on strike.
They reached the decision on Tuesday at the end of a  reconciliatory meeting with the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu; Supervising Minister of Aviation, Samuel Ortom; and the Chairman, National Salary Income and Wages Commission, R. O. Egbule.
The unions are the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, National Union of Air Transport Employees, Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees, and National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers.
The unions had been involved in a trade dispute with the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency over non-payment of accrued salary arrears due to its employees in the last 12 months.
They are also protesting the non-implementation of Agreement on job related Hazard Allowance and refusal to initiate process for the review of the their  conditions of service.
A statement from the Deputy Director (Press), Mr. Samuel Olowookere, stated that the meeting agreed that NAMA would commence the payment of the hazard allowance upon receipt of  approval from the NSIWC.
The meeting also agreed that “NAMA shall pay one month arrears of salary increment next week and thereafter, shall continue to liquidate the arrears owed to its members of staff based on a mode of installment payments to be agreed upon by the parties.
“The parties shall meet next week to work out the above stated modalities for payment of the arrears.
“On the harmonisation of salaries, the Supervising Minister for Aviation shall convene a stakeholders’ meeting to consider and take decision(s) on the matter.
“The trade unions should submit their charter of demands to NAMA before collective bargaining could commence within an agreed time-frame between the parties. Other relevant stakeholders may be involved.”
