MANDELA'S WIDOW, GRACA MACHEL SUPPORTS ‪#‎BringBackOurGirls‬ CAMPAIGN!

"To our Girls in Nigeria,
If someone somehow can get this message to our girls, even if is just the wind whispering to them, we want them to know that we love them and we care for them. Their plight has touched millions of hearts in Africa and beyond. We send them waves of love and comfort, to warm their hearts and dry their tears. We pray for them and look forward to the day when they will embrace their parents and families at home.
We send them waves of energy to keep their inner selves strong and resilient. When the dark night in the forest is overwhelming, they must lift their eyes to the sky. The stars are watching over them. They must not lose hope and they must not succumb to fear and despair, even in the most adverse of circumstances they find themselves in.
We love them always.
To the parents of our Girls in Nigeria,
I am a parent and so I stand amongst you holding your hands, in pain and anguish; in solidarity.
There are millions of parents in Africa and beyond, who genuinely feel that your girls are our girls. We want them safe and back in the loving and caring space of their families.
We demand alongside you the parents, that the Nigerian government do everything in its power to locate all the girls, make sure they are safe, and bring them back home. All of them.
It is government’s first and foremost responsibility to protect its citizens, and keep them safe. If the world can mobilise all the means possible to search for a plane carrying 239 passengers, certainly it can also mobilise the means to find our girls. They deserve nothing less.
We want to see the same resolve, commitment and focus from the Nigerian government, African governments and of course those governments who have the capacity and resources to save our girls.
We stand amongst you. We hold your hands. In solidarity,
Graça Machel
Founder and Chair".

Nike Oshinowo shows off her adorable twins!

Nigerian beauty queen and socialite Nike Oshinowo in an exclusive chat with HELLO magazine spoke about her twin kids and her former marriage to Dr. Tunde Soleye.

In the interview, she revealed this would be the first time she would be talking to the press about her children, and does not think she would like to repeat it again.

"This is the only interview I'm going to give about it because my children didn't choose to come into this world or choose to be famous that way. I'm the one who’s famous. My children are not famous. I'm hoping they’re going to be able to live very normal lives."

"I'm not supposed to be able to have children. I have endometriosis. I didn't decide it was time, God decided it was time."

About having children at 48

"I think one thing you should know with me is that I’ll tell you the truth. If you dare to ask a question, I will answer. The answer might freak you out, but I will answer you as honestly as I can. It can happen to anyone, I'm not special.  I'm very close to my creator, and to be close to your creator, you don’t have to go to church or to any special pastor, you just form a one on one relationship with your God.

I was out of my marriage, and I was lying in bed, talking to my God “Okay, so, here I am, is this what you want for me? Please tell me the next step. What am I supposed to do now?” and I fell asleep. As I slept, I felt a tug on the bedding and I open my eyes...

I'm saying you have a choice to choose. I chose to have my children look like the rest of my family. I chose to have my children look like my cousins, the children of my sister, the children of my brother - all the same colour. I did what I needed to do to make that happen. My children bear Oshinowo. It’s a very good surname to have"!

About her ex-husband

"The attraction to Dr. Tunde Soleye was his mind. He had and still has amazing mind. I can’t really explain it, but I’m not a highly sexual person and I've never been able to be. If you are not, you have to be able to be attracted by other things and he has a phenomenal mind.

"Don’t forget I wasn't 18 or 20 or even twenty-five at the time. I was forty! But I have to say I was very much in love. Was I…guided? More by my heart than my head. Isn't that nice to be sometimes? Am I embarrassed by that? No. Do I regret it? I don’t. I'm very grateful to have experienced it. It doesn't happen that often. Would I do it again? Probably not in such a hurry. It took 7 years for me to agree to date him. When I say I wouldn't do it again in a hurry, I meant I wouldn't rush into another marriage in a hurry because all the love in the world is still not enough to sustain a marriage. There are other key components".  she said.

According to Vanguard news, a suspected ritualist was arrested by the police at the  Iyana Iba market in Lagos after he was caught with three children.
The man who was suspected to have kidnapped the children aged four, six and seven years had reportedly said he wanted to buy biscuits for them but was stopped by neighbours when he could not give a reasonable explanation for taking the children.

Speaking to the mother of the children Iyabo Lawal, she told newsmen: “I was in the shop when the man passed the first time, I didn’t know he was monitoring my kids who were playing with my mother in her shop".
The report:
“I was busy attending to customers and didn’t notice when my children followed him. I thought they were still playing in my mother’s shop, not knowing that a stranger had taken them away.
“Some people, who saw my children with the man at the end of Iyana Iba road, questioned him on what he was doing with the children and he told them he was going to buy something for them. “When he could not answer the neighbours satisfactorily, they raised alarm and people gathered and started beating him.
Vanguard gathered that but for the intervention of mobile policemen attached to CTU Base 2, Anti Terrorism, Ikeja, the mob would have lynched the man.“At this time I had started looking for my children when someone alerted me that they had seen them with a man at the other side of road.”
The suspect, who identified himself as Ihenacho and claimed to be a security man at Alaba International Market, refused to disclose what he was doing with the children.
The suspect was later handed over to policemen from Ojo Police Division.

Boko Haram Will Attack “Bigshots Anytime From Now” – TB Joshua!

It was gathered that Prophet T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue church of all nations delivered a shocking message during the course of his service on Sunday 4th May 2014 at the church in Lagos.

According to reports, he heatedly calling on all Nigerian political parties to immediately cancel political rallies or face dire repercussions.

He spoke further on the rumoured planned attack on the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos and the fate of the over 200 missing schoolgirls in Borno, declaring their rescue to be imminent.
“There is a difference between Nigeria as a nation and these political parties,” Joshua told his congregation while addressing the current security concerns in Nigeria. “Nigeria is calm; it is the political parties that are not calm… These political parties gave birth to militants and Boko Haram.”
The pastor then insisted on the immediate suspension of all political rallies in the wake of the current situation. “How can over 200 schoolgirls be kidnapped somewhere and we are talking about disagreements between political parties? And APC and PDP are not ashamed?” Joshua angrily stated.
“They should suspend all rallies and acrimonious campaigns. It is this division that gave opportunity for hoodlums, militants and Boko Haram to explore and exploit.”
He went further to warn that the militants would redirect their attacks towards people that matter in society if this advice was not heeded. “If our political class does not stop their campaigns and rallies and put aside the name of parties – APC, PDP, Labour – to come together to discuss as Nigeria, these people will turn against them. Any moment from now, you will hear of ‘bigshots’ being attacked.”
Addressing the way out of the current security challenges, Joshua insisted that the threat of Boko Haram was beyond physical or natural solution. “We are dealing with evil spirits that kill, steal and destroy; let us not deal with our neighbours.”
He warned people not to fuel the insurgent’s activities by reacting fearfully to their threats. Your response determines their operation. Fear and panic help their operations because their main weapons are not bombs and guns of all sorts but evil spirits.”
The influential cleric then called on security operatives to seek God’s help in their war against terror. “Before they can bomb or shoot, they must consult evil spirits. Our soldiers and security – who do you consult before you shoot? You need the Spirit of God’s suggestion as to what to do.”
Speaking on the warning issued by the American Embassy to its citizens about a planned attack in the Sheraton hotel, widely reported by international media, Joshua told Lagosians not to be alarmed.“Whatever plan of evil in Lagos will be proved abortive! There is no cause for fear or alarm.”
He explained further in a rather parabolic fashion: “An attack in Lagos is an attack on the source… Don’t forget – Lagos is the commercial centre and every one of us has a commercial interest. It is a place you cannot avoid.” He described reports of the planned attack as an ‘expensive joke’.
Joshua went further to speak on the unclear motivation behind the actions of the insurgents: “If truly their mission is clear, their grievances should not be towards common people, innocent worshippers or school children. They should go and attack those who recruited them in the past. Since all of this mess started, how many senators or governors did you learn they attacked and killed?”
Addressubg the string of ‘negative’ stories currently circulating about Nigeria, Joshua also spoke scathingly about Nigerians who travel abroad and propagate such negativity about their homeland. “What you say about your country matters. Many travel abroad and say Nigeria is this or that – have you forgotten that is where you were born?”
He specified individuals using divisive words against particular political leaders.“The nation is bigger than anybody. Why are you rubbishing this nation and forgetting you are a Nigerian? No one will build this nation for you – you are to build it. You have to rebrand your nation.”
T.B. Joshua lastly gave words of reassurance to the parents of the abducted schoolgirls in Borno, advising them not to be misled by spurious news reports. “Get ready to receive your children back. Your children are coming home.”
It was a message he had earlier stated on Saturday 3rd May 2014, at the end of a prayer session. Speaking with uncanny frankness, Joshua stated that Boko Haram had ‘touched the heart of God’ with the kidnapping of the Chibok girls.
“Enough is enough,” the pastor stated in the live telecast on Emmanuel TV. “I place my career and calling on the line that these 200 schoolgirls they kidnapped – they have to release them immediately unharmed and unhurt. Then, they can wait for God’s judgement.”
He also gave another stern warning to the political elite. “Politicians – whatever you must have done to contribute to the mess in this nation will not go unpunished. If you are not punished, how will generations yet unborn or generations coming know that there is God?”

Gang-raped Indonesia woman may be caned for violating Islamic law!

An Indonesian woman who was gang-raped by men accusing her of having extramarital sex may be caned publicly for violating Islamic law, an official said Wednesday.
The 25-year-old widow said she was raped by eight men who allegedly found her with a married man in her house. The men reportedly beat the man, doused the two with sewage, and then turned them over to Islamic police in conservative Aceh province.
The alleged attack occurred early Thursday in Lhokbani, a village in East Aceh district.
The head of Islamic Shariah law in the district, Ibrahim Latief, said his office has recommended the widow and the married man be caned nine times for violating religious law, pending an investigation. Its preliminary finding was that the two were about to have sex at that time, but Latief contended they violated Shariah law by being in the same room together. He said they also admitted they had sex earlier.
Police have arrested three of the eight men and are hunting for the others.
East Aceh police chief Lt. Col. Hariadi said those arrested are being questioned on charges of rape. One of the accused is a 13-year-old boy, who would be charged as an adult but prosecuted in a closed-door trial.
Latief said the eight could be caned for raping the woman, but "it will be too lenient if they just received the same punishment of nine strokes."
The criminal charge of rape carries a maximum penalty of 15 years.
