Moscow Subway Accident, Putin orders for investigation!

Moscow subway
In what was described as one of the worst accidents on the Russian capital's subway system in years, about 20 people were killed and more than 120 were injured when a Moscow underground train derailed during the morning rush hour.

Three carriages derailed on a train travelling between two stations at 70 km per hour (44 miles per hour) at around 8:35 a.m. (0435 GMT) on the world's busiest subway system.
"It braked very hard. The lights went off and there was lots of smoke," a man, his nose bloodied, told Rossiya-24 television.
"We were trapped and only got out by some miracle. I thought it was the end. Many people were hurt, mostly in the first rail car because the cars ran into each other."
Rescue workers evacuated more than 1,000 people from the area of the accident, the Emergencies Ministry said. Injured passengers were carried on stretchers, bloodied and bandaged, out of both metro stations.

According to reports, helicopters ferried the most seriously hurt to hospital and passengers helped to the surface by emergency services looked stunned or were crying. "There is no one alive left," Moscow deputy mayor Peter Biryukov said. "The cause is not known, the work continues.
"Some bodies were recovered from the wreckage but others remained underground, crushed in the accident", he said.
President Vladimir Putin, who is away in Brazil, ordered a criminal investigation into the accident, which is likely to raise further questions over Russia's transport safety record. There was no suspicion of a militant attack - the cause of scores of deaths in Moscow's subway system in years past.
The Investigative Committee put the toll at 20 dead. Russian news agency Itar-Tass quoted Health Ministry representative Oleg Salagai as saying that 129 people were injured, 42 of whom were in a serious condition.

Exposed - How a Nigerian Senator funds Boko Haram, buys 400 Golf Cars!

View this content on TODAY's website
According to reports, Senator Ali Ndume representing Borno South Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate has reportedly been tied with funding the Islamic terror sect, Boko Haram.

The role allegedly played by Senator Ndume in the death of Major Timothy Fambiya, who led the operation that led to the death of the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, has also been brought to light.

Ndume is currently standing trial at an Abuja High Court over links with the infamous terrorist sect. He is accused of providing phone numbers of some government officials to the members of the Islamic sect.

The Nigerian Airforce in Borno State recently bombed Senator Ndume’s convoy of vehicles on his way to his village on suspicion that he was attending a meeting with the insurgents.

The reports from PointBlankNews, says the senator was angered by the deployment of Major Timothy Fambiya, an indigene of Gwoza in Gwoza Local Government Council of Borno State to eradicate the sect members and halt their activities in the area.

The area falls within Senator Ndume’s Senatorial District and is predominantly Christian. Ndume, who happens to be a Muslim, could not come to terms with a Christian soldier routing a sect he sympathizes with.

He believes a Christian soldier sent to lead the Government forces against the sect is war against Muslims. There are many accounts of the circumstances surrounding Shekau’s death, but he is believed to have been killed in Gwoza Hills by a contingent of Special Forces led by Major A.T. Fambiya

Fambiya is reckoned to be one of the best Special Forces officers in the Nigerian military, who grew up in Gwoza and understood the rocky terrain.

Further investigations revealed that it was Major Fambiya that delivered the fatal shot that sent Shakau reeling in Gwoza Hills during a fierce battle but the Boko Haram leader did not die immediately.

He was severally moved to Mali and later Cameroon where he gave up the ghost. His aides, who sought to create the impression that he was still alive to sect members, hurriedly buried him.

Following Shekau’s death, an infuriated Senator Ndume had allegedly contracted the second in command to Major Fambiya, Captain Ibrahim Jamare, to eliminate him.

Captain Jamare, who had briefed the Senator on the circumstances surrounding Shakau’s shooting , was allegedly paid N60 million by the Senator to eliminate the major.
While on a return mission to Gwoza Hills still in search of Shekau, Captain Jamare had shot Major Fambiya at the back of the head while he was observing something with binoculars.
The military had in a brief ceremony at the Nigerian Military Cemetary in Abuja declared that Major Fambiya was one of the best special forces officer in Nigeria. “He was killed in action on June 26, 2013 in a fierce encounter with Boko Haram terrorists”.

It was alledged the Major’s suspicious killing had prompted his brother Iliya Joshua to call on military authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. “We call on the Federal Government to investigate the rumoured cause of the death of the officers since it remains a mystery to our family. I made the call because he was supposed to be at the Army school of artillery. The last time I called him, he said that he was not part of those people that were going to Maiduguri for this operation. But later, I was told that he had been killed. He was not supposed to be on posting to that place,”he said.

Over 400 hundred people including women and children were killed last month in Ngoshe and Atagara by insurgents, who hoisted a flag at the Gwoza Local Government Area.

The insurgents disguised as soldiers had called the residents to come out to discuss peaceful co-existence in the area.

Unkonwn to the residents, they were sorroundedv by the insurgents, who opened fire on them killing all that gathered at the village square, who were mostly Christians. The burning of residential houses, churches and schools have continued until a recent deployment of soldiers in the area.

Purchase of 400 Golf Cars Security agencies are also working on the lead that Senator Ndume had purchased 400 Golf cars for insurgents disguised as empowerment for his constituents. Golf cars have been used in several bomb explosions in Maiduguri, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe and Abuja.

Further investigations revealed that insurgents and new recruits were offered a golf car or N500,000.00 to procure the vehicles themselves by the senator.

The recruitment drive is disguised as one of his constituency empowerment projects. Most of the insurgents are said to have migrated to Abuja and are now domiciled in Waru and Wasa villages, some kilometres from the National Assembly Quarters where they wait to be called upon to carry out car/suicide bombings.

National Cordinator of the Joint Information Centre on Security, Mike Omeri, had at Wednesday’s briefing of the media on government’s fight against terrorism said government was investigating some politicians following their links with terrorists.

He said some of the politicians have been arrested. He said the development followed information provided by insurgents in custody. He maintained that government would not condone involvement of politicians in security matters involving the nation.

Teacher Fired for Being Gay Gets an Apology 42 Years Later!

PHOTO: In this photo taken on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, Jim Gaylord sits in his Tacoma, Wash., living room, and talks about being fired in 1972 from his teaching job because he was gay.
A Washington state history teacher fired in 1972 for being gay has received a long overdue apology from the local school board.
Jim Gaylord, a history teacher at Wilson High School in Tacoma was fired 42 years ago after a student speculated that he was gay and reported it to the vice principal. The vice principal approached Gaylord to question him about his sexual orientation just a few days before Thanksgiving.
Gaylord said he didn’t think that confessing his sexual orientation would have any repercussions, so he admitted to the vice principal that he's gay. He was wrong.
Gaylord was fired just before Christmas on the grounds of homosexuality in 1972.
He had “enjoyed” his job, he said, and wanted it back. He filed a lawsuit against the Tacoma school district, even though he didn’t want to attract attention to himself.
The litigation eventually made it to the state’s Supreme Court in 1977, but the court’s decision disappointed Gaylord -- his firing was deemed legitimate because homosexuality was considered an “immorality” that was a “sufficient cause for discharge,” according to a court document.
If Gaylord had not been discharged after he became known as a homosexual, the result would be fear, confusion, suspicion, parental concern, and pressure on the administration by students, parents, and other teachers,” the court said in its decision.
But things took a turn this past week when the Oasis Youth Center in Tacoma decided to hold its annual fundraising event at a local high school.
Seth Kirby, executive director at the Oasis Youth Center, had known about Gaylord’s story for a long time and thought he could do something for Gaylord. He reached out to the current president of the Tacoma school board, Kurt Miller.
Kirby said activists in Washington state had been trying to pass the anti-discrimination protection law for school teachers for the past 30 years, and Gaylord's experience first prompted those efforts.
"The anti-discrimination law passed in 2006 in Washington, so it was fairly recent," Kirby said.
“Seth approached me and thought it would be great if we could issue an apology,” Miller told ABC News. “I contacted our school board members and superintendent, and they were all very supportive of the idea.”
He said the school records showed that Gaylord was an excellent teacher and there was “no other reason to fire him.”
Back then, it was legal to fire staff based on their sexual orientation,” Miller said. “It is now illegal in our state.”
We want our students to know that when they go through decisions like that, there are people they can talk to,” Miller said. “We honor and respect gay teachers, and they shouldn’t be afraid that anyone would retaliate them.
Forty-two years later, all we can do is to apologize,” Miller said. “We want to give him the dignity back.”
We want the young people in attendance to see that history wasn’t made in the LGBT community only at Stonewall in NYC or in Congress where laws were passed. It actually happens here in our community," Kirby said.
"Jim said that it felt really good to put a nice ending to an unfortunate story," Kirby said.
News says Gaylord worked as a librarian for a few years after he was fired, and is now retired. He still lives in the same house he lived in 42 years ago, according to Kirby. He could not be reached by ABC News for comment.

Karrueche Tran Opens Up About Dating Chris Brown, Battling Rihanna and Her Fans!

Karrueche Tran normally keeps quiet about her relationship with Chris Brown, but she opened up about facing heartache and handling all the drama during a recent guest appearance on Keke Palmer's new talk show, Just Keke.

According to E news, when asked how she's managed to date someone in the public eye, let alone someone with several ongoing legal battles, the model explained that "keeping a level head and positivity" have helped see her through.
"I've never dated a celebrity before so it was very new to me, paparazzi and all that," she told Palmer, adding that her boyfriend's very famous ex has only made things more difficult to deal with.
"And then, even the situation with Rihanna, you know the reason why people turned into this so much was because it's relatable. I have girlfriend, I have family who's gone through the same situation. It's the case of the ex. We all go through it, do you know what I'm saying?"
Tran continued, "In this case my boyfriend is a celebrity whose ex-girlfriend is an even bigger [celebrity]…so, I'm not only am I fighting a battle with her, I'm fighting a battle with her 14 million fans or however else.
"So, imagine how that feels for me when I gotta get on Twitter and I see a whole bunch of stuff…they make up all kinds of crazy stuff and it's like they know nothing about me. But, you know, because they know nothing about me, because I stay so mute sometimes, that leaves open space for them to say whatever they want."
When asked what the hardest part about being stuck in this love triangle has been, she answers, "Um, jeez. I guess I would say the heartbreak because it was a real situation."

And on that note, Tran's most recent Instagram is a not-so-cryptic quote that reads, "You have shattered my heart, but you have not shattered my love."
