Niger Delta militants will go back to the creeks if....- Dokubo!

We all seems to be losing it simultaneously, every one feels marginalized and pushing to be heard in the ways we know best. Information reaching Roving Informant revealed that the Leader of the Niger Delta People Salvation Front, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo said that Niger Delta militants are prepared to head back to the creeks over the contentious issues of derivation and resource control at the National Conference.
“We are stating that going back to the creeks may be inevitably preferable, rather than allow for the wealth of our people to  be used to develop or rehabilitate a parasitic, barren yet ignorantly arrogant North.
“We are ready to mobilise our people from across the Niger Delta and even in Diaspora to stand up for definite showdown and direct action. The North must no longer be sustained at our expense. Our God-given resources belong to us and not Nigeria. The end of Lugard’s Nigeria is now,” spokesman of NDPSF,  Rex Anighoro said in a statement.
“Let us state very emphatically that irrespective of the final determination of the national conference, our minimum expectation and demand as a people remains 100 per cent control of our resources or nothing.
“The national conference can go on and propose even 100 states, agree to rehabilitate and develop areas ravaged by insurgency and internal conflicts, agree to develop solid mineral resources and whatever, but let it be known that not a dime of the resources of the people of the Niger Delta should be factored into this odious compromise.
“It has now come to a definitive moment to demand the abolishment, henceforth, the sustenance of the barren states of Nigeria with the resources of the Niger Delta in the name of monthly allocation amongst others,” he reportedly said.
In all we do, let us bear in mind that it is about the people's general interest, not individualism.

Lagos approves 10-day paternity leave, six months for maternity!

Lagos state Head of Service, Oluseyi Williams

The Lagos State Government on Thursday announced new dimensions to its health policy on child bearing and raising in Lagos.
According to the policy, men whose wives are delivered of babies hence are entitled to a 10 day paternity leave in Lagos state, while women have their maternity leave extended by three months. This is applicable however to men in the employ of the Lagos state government
According to the Lagos State Head of Service, Josephine Williams, who announced these decisions at a press conference at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, said that instead of the three months maternity leave for its workers, the state government has increased it to six months.
"A female officer shall be entitled to 24 weeks maternity leave with full pay in case of her first two deliveries.
"The said leave shall commence at least two weeks before the expected delivery date.
"A male officer, to whom a new baby (or babies in case of multiple births) is born, shall be entitled to 10 working days." Williams said:
It was gathered that after the first two deliveries, mothers would then be entitled to only three months leave, but the father would still have 10 days leave.
The Special Adviser to Governor Babatunde Fashola on Public Health,  Dr. Yewande Adeshina, explained the rationale behind the decision, according to Adesina, the six months leave would enable the nursing mother observe the recommended six months exclusive breast feeding for babies.
"At six months or 24 weeks, a baby is considered strong enough to be left in decent crèche".
