Oscar Pistorius Sentenced To Five Years In Prison!

Oscar Pistorius was on Teusday sentenced to five years in prison for the manslaughter of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

News revealed that Pistorius is expected to be taken to Kgosi Mampuru II prison, formerly Pretoria Central. It’s believed he will stay in the holding cell below the court until around 4pm South African time (3pm BST) before being moved by police convoy, along with other prisoners, to the jail.

Judge Masipa, who sentenced the athlete to an additional three years in prison, wholly suspended, for the second count of a firearm contravention; ruled a non-custodial sentence would send the wrong sentence to the community, but a long sentence would not be appropriate because it would appear to lack mercy.

Reacting to the sentence, Oscar Pistorius defense team said the law under which he was punished calls for him to serve only one-sixth of the prison term 10 months before he can be placed on house arrest. He was equally given a suspended three-year term on separate firearms charges.

Interpreting the terms of his imprisonment, some South African legal experts said the conversion of Mr. Pistorius prison time to house arrest was not automatic and required negotiations with the correctional authorities. After serving half the sentence, he can also apply for parole. 

Some members of the Steenkamp family June and Barry Steenkamp, who spoke to reporters as they left court said they were "satisfied and happy that justice has been done".

The City attorneys demand read: "all speeches, presentations, or sermons related to HERO, the Petition, Mayor Annise Parker, homosexuality, or gender identiy prepared by delivered by, revised by, or approved by you or in your petition."

Boko Haram Agrees To A Cease Fire!

Nigeria's TV network announced that the hundreds of schoolgirls held by terror group Boko Haram could soon be released.  This came as a news clip from NTA News24, says the deal follows a meeting between a federal government official and Boko Haram representatives and Chadian government officials.

According to report, the ceasefire has been agreed in the hope of getting the group to release the 219 Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped six months ago, Ms Kolawole says.

The agency reportedly quoted the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex Badeh, as ordering his troops to immediately comply with the agreement.

Bruce Jenner Dating Kris Jenner’s Best Friend!

Coming on the heels of their divorce, and according to news report, Bruce has already moved on from Kris, and is reportedly now dating Kris’ former assistant and good pal, Ronda. 

It was gathered that Bruce and Kris had "a very amicable split and they actually didn’t have any lawyers when they filed for divorce". 

In fact, Kris served Bruce herself and they had been separated for over one year. Neither of them have asked for spousal support and they are going to have joint custody of their daughter, Kylie.

Kris listed June 1, 2013 as their date of separation, and Bruce has been living in a bachelor pad in Malibu. They have been broken up for quite some time and it’s only natural that they move on from each other. 

But for Bruce to date her friend must definitely hit very close to home.

Bruce and Ronda were reportedly spotted at the Elton John concert in LA on Oct. 4.
