The Management of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, came under severe criticism by Nigerians, for allegedly yanking off - air a charity program co-hosted by Dele Momodu, and program founder, Funimi Iyanda Thursday morning.

The program, termed 'Change A Life' is reportedly an annual charity event, where invited dignitaries were hosted, and interviewed on issues that concerns the masses. The 2015 'Change A Life' program was aired on 1, January, and invited dignitaries like the Lagos state Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, Director of Defence Information Major General OLUKOLADE, among others were interviewed. Unfortunately, the program was precociously yanked off the Nigerian Television Authority network without explanations.
Dele Momodu expressed displeasure over the incident Friday morning with The tweets below:
Good morning Africa! I still can't get over the shocking gift NTA gave us on January 1, 2015; Amazing Grace...

NTA yanked us off an annual charity event CHANGE A LIFE that has nothing to do with politics; Good Gracious!

Even if Funmi & I are commoners, NTA should tender unreserved apology to Governor Fashola for its bad behaviour!

Before long, tweets stated pouring in, condemning the action:
@Kazeempopoola: @DeleMomodu has NTA given any reason for doing that?” Reasons, no, we were scammed into believing we we're live on air!

@boyfromsouth: @DeleMomodu why am I not surprised ?” After what we went thru under the military, I thought we had passed this stage!

The out-pour of disappointment, from Nigerians prompted the management of the Nations television network to respond.
NTA's response twit below:
MORE: the hosts - and will be informed upon resolution of this unfortunate issue.

An Inquiry is being conducted into the "Change a Life" Show hosted by and , prematurely removed off air yesterday.

The 2015 national budget which is now before the National Assembly, is targeted at deepening our effort at becoming a non -oil economy. The budget also includes measures to ensure that the down turn in the price of oil does not affect our development plans in our national economy too adversely".
