U.S Places $5million On Guzman's Head!

The U.S State Department on Wednesday announced a $5 million reward for information leading to the recapture of Mexican drug kingpins Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman who escaped from one of Mexican's most secured prisons in July, through a sophisticated mile long tunnel, that opened up in his cell's shower.

The Drug Enforcement Administration on their part, set up a tip line for information about the kingpin,  The tip line is being managed by the DEA's San Diego field office.

 Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is Mexican drug lord, and head of the Sinaloa Cartel, a criminal organization named after the Mexican Pacific coast state of Sinaloa city, where it was formed.

Nigeria Cleared To Export Shrimps To The United States!

Mr Jack Forrester, the Fisheries Gear Specialist of the US Department of Commerce,  disclosed  Tuesday, 4th of August,  that Nigeria has  been re-certified to export shrimps to the United States of America and commended for maintaining international best practices in shrimps production.


This was made known by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Information, during the United States Turtle Excluder Device (TED) inspection team’s visit to re-certify Nigeria’s export rights.

Following a publication on Punch Newspaper, Tuesday, August 4, 2015, which revealed names of prominent individuals, whose company owe Nigerian Deposit Money Banks huge sum of money, tagged "Some Directors of Debtor Firms"; House of Representatives Committee on the Diaspora, Hon. Abike Dabiri, on Teusday August 4, expressed shock on her twitter page, over seeing her name associated with 'Thriller Endeavors', a company which owes N122m.

Multiple Accident Along Ikorodu Road!

There was a multiple accident in the early hours of Tuesday, 4th of August, when a trailer, loaded with petrol lost control, and ran into a car, consequently resulting in a multiple accident, around Obanikoro bus stop, on Ikorodu road, Lagos.

Akon Reveals Project To Light-Up Africa!

Africa's R & B and hip hop recording artist, songwriter, record producer and  businessman, Akon, met with young entrepreneurs from the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Friday, July 31, 2015, in Lagos - Nigeria.


In his speech at the event which took place at the UBA House, Marina, the music Icon told the entrepreneurs what informed his "Akon Lighting Africa" project,  as he took all on his journey to success. 

From a humble back ground during his growing up years in Senegal, and later the United States of America, from prison, into the music industry, and as an entrepreneur. 

"Akon Lighting Africa" is a project set up by Akon and his partners  Samba Bathily and Thione Niang, to bring electricity to millions of house holds especially in the rural areas, across Africa.
