I have found love again' Bisi Ibidapo Obe
'My experience with Dino taught me the greatest lesson of my life. It has taught me to be weary of people. But despite the bitter experience, that does not mean I shouldn't pick up the pieces of my broken heart and move on with my life and that doesn't stop me from giving it to another man" Bisi told a soft sell magazine
Bisi Ibidapo Obe told Punch Newspapars: "I must confess that I never knew my love affair with the father of my baby would turn awry but it did. Fortunately for me, the guy I was dating before stood by me when my daughter’s father rejected me. He saw all that happened as a script written by God, which had to play out. He stood by me throughout the pregnancy and he is still there for me. I am not bothered about any issue now. I just pray that the joy God has given me will live forever! Indeed, I am fulfilled as a woman." -

CCTV punch attacks: Nigerian Michael Ayoade jailed for 4 years
A 35 year old Nigerian man, Michael Ayoade, who was caught on CCTV punching a teenage girl and a female student, and leaving them unconscious on the ground, has been jailed for four years.
Michael attacked female student, Daniella Montieth, in 2011, without any provocation. She was taken to the hospital with a broken tooth after he hit her in the side of the head at Plaistow tube station. Then on November 13th 2012 he jogged up behind a 16-year-old girl in the High Street and punched her in the head. The teenager fell to the ground, breaking three of her teeth. (pictured above)
Ayoade was arrested shortly after the attack on the teenager
During his trial, Ayoade said the teenager had “looked at him in a rude way” and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken “an insult from a little person like that”.
Ayoade was yesterday sentenced to four years in prison for the attack on the teenager and 19 months for punching the student. The two sentences will run concurrently.
Nigeria Pop singer goldie Harvey buried in Lagos.
Family,
friends
and colleagues
of Nigeria’s Afro pop singer, Oluwabimpe Susan Harvey, popularly known as Goldie Harvey, paid their last respect to the singer as she was buried at the Vaults and Gardens Cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The late singer, whose remains was placed in a brown MIC Casket, was brought into the premises in a R350 Mercedes Benz hearse at around 10:00am
Entertainers present included: Kenny Ogungbe, Jaywon, Julius Agwu, Jimmy Jatt, Essence, Chidi Mokeme, Olisa Adibua, Capital Femi, Tiwa Savage, Tee Billz and Kenny Saint Best. The publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, was also present.
The activities, which marked the final home-going of the late singer, started from the Chapel of the Vaults Garden. The short service and admonition was presided over by Pastor Oluleke Akinola and three others.
The cleric took his biblical reference from Matthew 7:12-14. He said the occasion was a clarion call for others, still living, to be closer to their creator: “Although she died at a time when her glory was supposed to start to shine, God knows best,” he said.
Shortly after, colleagues of the late singer paid tribute to the deceased. The crowd was touched by emotional comments made by Kenny Ogungbe, Denrele, Dele Momodu, Tiwa Savage and the twin brothers of the late singer, Gideon and Joshua Filani.
Goldie’s widower, Andrew Harvey, looking very pale, had some heart touching words to say about his late wife: “Susan, you walked into my life. It was like God sent you as a fresh breath. I still remember your response to my first love message. You said, love killed Romeo, sent Diana to an early grave and killed Jack. Forget about love, just let us have friendship. There will be no other Goldie.”
For close to 10 minutes, the Kennis Music honcho, Ogungbe, could not utter a word; he was merely shivering and crying.
Denrele, Goldie’s acclaimed best friend, said: “You were a lifeline, a therapist. You inspired my success and worldwide recognition. I could remember that we used the same shoe size and had the same body proportion. Even when you were not around and a tailor wanted to make your dress, they took my measurement. What I still find it hard to come to terms with is how I will manage with our reality TV show; True Friendship. I’m dedicating it to your memory and I’m going to do all I can to get it off the ground.”
On her part, Kenny Saint Best was equally emotional, wailing at the top of her voice. When she found her voice, she could only advise her colleagues. She pleaded with them to be cautious of stardom and draw closer to God.
Dele Momodu described the late singer as an amiable personality. He noted that she was a person that anyone would love to be attached to. “She is indeed a big loss to the entertainment industry, hence a clarion call that we should take care of our health because we don’t know who is next,” he said.

Janet Jackson says she has married Qatari billionaire
Singer Janet Jackson said on Monday that she married her Qatari businessman boyfriend last year, quashing media reports of upcoming nuptials.
Jackson, 46, the younger sister of the late singer Michael Jackson, was married to billionaire Wissam Al Mana, 37, last year but kept the news under wraps.
“The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony,” Jackson and Al Mana said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

“Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities.”
The American singer is known for keeping her private life from the media, rarely speaking out about her ex-husbands.

French children kidnapped in Cameroon 'shown in video'
A video published on YouTube appears to show seven members of a French family, including four children, abducted by Islamists in Cameroon.
The video shows an armed man reading a statement in front of two men, a woman and four children.
Claiming to be from the Nigerian militant group Boko Haram, the alleged kidnappers demand the release of prisoners in Cameroon and Nigeria.
The family were snatched last Tuesday by gunmen on motorbikes.

Following the abduction, the French government said it believed the couple, their children aged five, eight, 10 and 12, and an uncle were taken across the border into Nigeria, probably by Boko Haram.
The family live in the Cameroonian capital, Yaounde, where the father worked for the French gas group Suez. They had been returning from a visit to Waza National Park when they were kidnapped.
'Terribly shocking'
On Thursday, France confirmed it had "received information that the group Boko Haram is claiming to be holding the French family".
"These images are terribly shocking and display cruelty without limits," French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said in a statement.
In the video, one of the male hostages said they had been kidnapped by Jamaatu Ahlis Sunna Liddaawati wal-Jihad - the Arabic name for Boko Haram.
One of the alleged kidnappers warned that France had launched a war on Islam.
Behind him, the alleged family is shown flanked by two armed men in camouflage uniforms.
A source close to the family confirmed their identities to the AFP news agency.
France's foreign ministry said it was still trying to verify the authenticity of the video.
Last week, a French minister wrongly confirmed reports that the family had been found and released in Nigeria.
The French foreign ministry said on its website citizens were "officially advised not to go to the far north of Cameroon (the shores of Lake Chad in the South Maroua), and the border with Nigeria, until further notice".Meanwhile, French nationals have been urged to leave northern Cameroon "as quickly as possible".
Boko Haram has staged many attacks across northern Nigeria in recent years, targeting churches, government buildings and the security forces.
Another Islamist group - Ansaru - is also active in the region.
Last Sunday, Ansaru claimed the abduction of seven foreign workers in Nigeria.
Italian, British, Greek and Lebanese workers are thought to be among those held after an attack on a construction project in Bauchi state.
Ansaru also says it is holding a French national, Francis Colump, who was seized in the northern state of Katsina.
Diego Maradona returns to Italy to clear his name
Diego Maradona has returned to Italy in a bid to clear his name in a tax evasion case.
The 1986 World Cup winner with Argentina landed Monday in Rome and headed straight to Naples, where he will hold a news conference Tuesday morning.
Maradona's Italian debts of more than $50 million stem from alleged unpaid taxes during the time he played for Napoli from 1984-91, a period in which he helped the club win its only two Serie A titles.
His lawyer, Angelo Pisani, recently said his client won the dispute. But the collection agency issued a statement earlier this month saying it had not "annulled, declared extinct, nor modified" Maradona's debts.
