Poolside photos of 59-year-old Christie Brinkley are a Web sensation!
Pictures of 59-year-old U.S. supermodel Christy Brinkley posing poolside for the new magazine Social Life have become an Internet sensation.
Brinkley was recently photographed wearing a black, two-piece
ensemble at her home in Long Island, N.Y., and the images helped her
become a trending topic on Yahoo! Sunday and Monday.
The ex-wife of rock 'n' roll icon Billy Joel said she doesn't starve herself to maintain her figure, however.
"Believe me, I love a good chocolate chip ice cream," she once told
Shape magazine. "I'm not going to go for some lousy version of it. If
I'm going to have it I'm going to have a really good one."
Brinkley also made headlines recently when she played disc jockey at
the South Fork Natural History Museum's fundraising party, SoFo Rocks,
which raises money to preserve the natural environment of Long Island's
South Fork region, The Inquistr said.
She was widely quoted, as well, for weighing in on a photo-shopping
controversy involving an ad for "The Heat," a new movie starring over-40
actresses Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock.
"I've been photoshopped before. I think it's kind of weird to do that
with actors because, obviously, you can't photoshop a movie and you're
going to be seeing the actors as they are in the movie; you get to know
actors and you just love them the way they are... We all love Melissa
McCarthy just the way she is," Brinkley told TV's "Entertainment
Tonight."
"Everything gives the message [that] it's not OK to be old. It's not
OK to be fat. It's not OK to have any imperfections and there's too many
outlets that are ready to pounce and it's unfortunate that that's what
seems to sell magazines," Brinkley said. "I wish that there was some way
we could change that."
