In
a preview of an upcoming interview that aired on CNN’s “New Day,”
Prince William says newborn son Prince George is already taking after
other members of the Royal Family.
“He’s
a little bit of a rascal, I’ll put it that way, so he either reminds me
of my brother [Prince Harry] or me when I was younger, I’m not sure,”
the proud new dad said in a clip released from the upcoming CNN one-hour
special, “Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New Hope.”
“He’s doing very well at the moment. He likes his nappy changed,” Prince William continued.
He also gave an update on new mom Catherine.
“Catherine
is very well, [and the dog] Lupo is coping… He’s been slobbering around
the house a lot, so he’s happy,” he continued.
The Prince was asked about showing off his little Royal bundle of joy to the world so soon after his July 22 birth.
“I
was on such a high about George, and so was Catherine. We were anxious
to show him off,” Prince William explained. “It’s not somewhere I enjoy
being, but I know the position I’m in [and] it’s nice people wanted to
see George. It was good he wasn’t screaming.”
The new dad noted that he’s attempting to help out with baby duties as much as possible.
“If
I can do it myself, I’ll do it myself,” he said in the preview clip.
“I’m as independent as I want to be… I don’t like fuss.”
