Reports says a U.S based doctor, Adeniran Abraham Ariyo recently called for the massacre of Igbos in Nigeria the way Nigerians are being killed in South Africa.
Dr. Abraham Ariyo wrote on Facebook:
“You see how they (the Igbos) are being slaughtered in South Africa. That’s what’s going to happen to them in Lagos…When are they (the Igbos) not going to be slaughtered in Abuja?…God might have put a curse on them (the Igbos)…We will continue to bus them (the Igbos) to Onitsha.” - Dr. Abraham Ariyo.
Ariyo reportedly removed all his pictures on Facebook, deleted his post and went into hiding following an outcry on the media.
As fate would have it, his messages were screened and printed Nigerians who saw it.
If this obnoxious facebook message is verified to be true, and not some mischievous moves from troublesome individuals, it is then disappointing.
Let us bear in mind that nobody has the right to take someone, else's life, let alone, a whole ethnic sect.
We'v got to watch what we say or instigate on social media.
