162! Suspected cultists arrested in Lagos Island following raid!

Security agents have arrested 162 people in Lagos Island  during a joint aimed at curbing activities of cultists  and hoodlums in the area.
policemen from divisions under the Area ‘A’ command, Lion Building, those from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja, Police Mobile Squad 20, Directorate of State Security, DSS,  the Military and members of Neighbourhood Watch raided surrounded the area on Sunday between 9 p.m., and 10.30 p.m.

 

According to reports, two females were among those taken into custody and are being interrogated.
A police source reportedly to journalists that: “We acted on tip off. And that is why we had to engage the services of members of the neighborhood watch in the raid. From the raided hideouts, it was evident that some of them could be members of confraternity groups.  But that will be determined at the end of investigation.”
Areas raided included LUTA, Bamgboshe, Masey, Oja-Oba and Adeniji Adele under bridge.

Man slices off his own arm then drives TEN MILES to hospital clutching severed limb and asking doctors to sew it on in Hungary!

A Hungarian man who sliced off one of his arms managed to drive 10 miles (15 kilometres) to hospital.
The 37-year-old, known as Tibor A, sliced his arm off below the elbow in an accident while cleaning a machine that processes construction rubble.
But he managed to retrieve his arm and drive through Austria clutching the severed limb.





The horrific accident happened on Sunday in Purbach in eastern Austria.
His arm was successfully reattached by plastic surgeons at Vienna's hospital AKH. 

 

 

 

 

He managed to operate his car and sped to the casualty department in nearby Eisenstadt, reported AFP.
Police said the only reason the Hungarian did not bleed to death was that he was in a state of shock.
He was airlifted to hospital in Vienna where doctors were trying to stitch the limb back on.

Ethiopia arrests minister, 11 others over corruption!

Ethiopian police have arrested a minister and 11 other people on corruption charges, an official and state media said on Saturday, in the country's most high-profile swoop against graft for more than a decade.
Businesses in the region regularly complain of corruption as an obstacle to their work. Transparency International ranked Ethiopia 113 out of 176 nations worldwide in its 2012 perception of corruption index, where No. 1 is considered least corrupt.
That ranking puts Ethiopia above most nations in the Horn of Africa and east Africa regions, although Rwanda is ranked 50.
 

Melaku Fenta, a senior ruling party member and director general of the revenue and customs authority with the rank of minister, was arrested on Friday alongside two other officials from the authority, government spokesman Shimeles Kemal said.

 

"They were under investigation on suspicion of corrupt practices," Shimeles told Reuters, without giving details.

The spokesman said there were further arrests as well but did not give a total. The state news agency reported 12 arrests overall. Independently, newspapers said the arrests included a prominent businessman and customs employees outside the capital.

Global Financial Integrity last year said Addis Ababa lost $11.7 billion in outflows of illegal funds in the past decade.
Melaku is the most high profile suspect to be arrested on corruption charges since Siye Abraha, a former defense minister who was released in 2007 after six years behind bars. However, he was already out of government when arrested.

Kidnappers abduct wife, daughter, driver, of Supreme Court Judge!

Two members of the immediate family and driver of Supreme Court Judge, Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour, were kidnapped on their way to Benin, the Edo State capital, Nigeria; on Friday night, throwing the family into confusion.

Sources in the Edo State government said the judge’s wife, daughter and driver were abducted as they traveled from Abuja to Benin for the wedding of one of the judge’s daughter. The names of the victims were not immediately available. The exact location of their kidnap is unclear Saturday night.

Spokesman for the Edo Police, Moses Eguavoen confirmed the incident but said his command was yet to establish the exact location where the incident took place.

Mr. Eguavoen said, “I cannot say exactly where it happened. I can’t say whether it happened in the part of Edo State or the part of Ondo State. I have not been able to reach Ekiadolor and Okada Divisions to know whether it actually happened in Edo State or not. When I get the appropriate information, I shall inform you. Expect our update on the issue, at least, by Monday.”

Reports however said the fully-armed kidnappers ambushed the victims near Benin and abducted them at gunpoint. That could however not be independently confirmed on Saturday night.

Information revealed that one has claimed responsibility for the incident and that the kidnappers were yet to contact the family for ransom.

Dallas-area sex-ed teacher alleged to have seduced student, 13, who said he had problem with his manhood !

A sex-ed teacher seduced her eighth-grade student after he said he had a problem with his manhood and she demanded to see it, police said.

Marlena Mints, 31 allegedly performed oral sex on the 13-year-old in her classroom during recess at Bessie Coleman Middle School in Cedar Hill, near Dallas.

She is also accused of taking another young boy back to her home, where she is also alleged to have performed oral sex.

Cops were tipped off last week when one of the students started bragging about the relationship.

Mints was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of improper relationship with students.
Police documents claim Mints exchanged text messages with both boys before making her move.
The 13-year-old reportedly said he had a problem with his penis, to which she said she "needed to see it" and asked him to come into her class.

Telling investigators he thought it would be alright as she was his sex-ed teacher, he exposed himself — which is when Mints allegedly performed oral sex.

She also asked him to touch her breasts and buttocks.

Mints picked up the other student, whose age was not given, in her car and took him home to seduce him, cops claim.

The teacher has been suspended from her job and is currently being held in Dallas County Jail

Justin Bieber Makes 'Simpsons' Cameo!

After months of bad news, Justin Bieber fans finally have something to celebrate – he's making a cameo appearance this weekend on The Simpsons, thanks to a word from the series' creator, Matt Groening.

"He tries to get into a talent show where Bart is playing piano," Simpsons producer Al Jean tells Rolling Stone. "It's just a cameo. This sentence is longer than his appearance."

According to Jean, Groening requested that Bieber be worked into an episode. "I think he has a family member who was a fan," Jean says. "I think he's a fan, too. So he asked us to find a place to use him. I think [Bieber] had also met Matt and wanted to be on the show." Bieber did the voice work last year, as Rolling Stone previously reported.

Kanye West hits head into sign alongside Kim Kardashian before tirade at shutterbugs!

Kanye was reportedly walking hand in hand with a pregnant Kim Kardashian in Beverly Hills on Friday, when he dropped his chin to avoid the paparazzi and smacked his head into a metal sign.

The loud bang led to a series of caught-on-tape gasps.

“You okay?” multiple photographers asked.

“Stop taking f---ing pictures,” West shouted as he

confronted one of the shutterbugs.
