Wife Of House Of Reps Member Accused Of Torturing Two Women!

Wife of a serving House of Representatives member was fingered yesterday in the torture, beating and alleged attempt to kidnap two ladies in Isale Eko area of Lagos.

Sources say that yesterday morning at about 7.15a.m, a Toyota Camry car which was used for the operation caused a stir in Bamgbose Street in Lagos Island at the heart of Lagos metropolis.

Like a bolt from the blue, six unidentified ladies, carrying canes came out of the unregistered grey coloured car and advanced towards No 101, Bamgbose Street.

The unmasked ladies met one Alhaja Basidat Ajadi Balogun, a business woman resident in the street and repeatedly flogged her as she wept. (The woman pictured above)

Balogun, who was shouting at the top of her voice while the beating was going on, tried without success to find out from the rampaging ladies why she was being beaten.

According to a resident of the street, who pleaded not to be mentioned, while the severe beating was going on, Alhaja Jolaade Batola, wife of an influencial legislator, a House of Representatives member, representing Mainland federal constituency, was seen seated, inside the unregistered Toyota Camry car and giving orders to the lady on what to do to their victim.

The Nigerian Compass on Saturday, further learnt that the rampaging ladies planned to take the business woman away but for her resistance. The boot of their Camry was thrown open, while the woman in the car ordered the ladies to drag the woman and throw her into the boot.

Independent checks at the Lion Building police command however showed that the matter has been reported there even as our correspondent on Friday traced the battered business woman to the General Hospital, who was receiving treatment.

Though she was initially reluctant to speak with The Nigerian Compass on Saturday, when she opened up, she said she was standing outside her resident, talking to a tenant, when the six ladies, unknown to her, accompanied, by Mrs Batola arrived the place and began to beat her up.

She however insisted that she does not know the reason why the ladies beat the hell out of her, insisting that she was not close to the wife of the House of Representatives member. “Though Alhaja Batola owns a shop on the same Bamgbose Street, we are not really close. Though I do greet her,” said the victim.

The woman whose body was full of scares from the beating put the cost of her medical treatment as well as some of jewelries she was wearing when she was attacked at N600,000, and confirmed that but for the residents, who mobilised and confronted the ladies, she could have been kidnapped.

Inquiries at the Lion Building police station, in Lagos Island revealed to our correspondent that the case have been filed. The woman was asked to get a police report on the incident, a police source disclosed.

Attempts made to see Alhaja Owolabi Batola for her comment on the incident proved abortive as her shop located on the same Bamgbose Street was not opened yesterday.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor is presently in the city of London making last minute preparations ahead of her first son’s wedding holding on Saturday, May 25.

Uchendu Ozokwor will exchange marital vows with his love, Gloria Nweze in a glamorous event scheduled to be witnessed by a couple of London-based Nollywood personalities and Nigerian socialites in Queen Elizabeth's country. EE learnt that the lovers who met in London both hail from Ngwo, Enugu State.

The joyous mother broke the good news to her teeming fans and admirers through a popular social network site over the weekend. “Fighting hard to maintain a life working and preparing for a wedding. Thrilled to announce that my son is getting married. Waiting for a wedding is like waiting for a sunrise. Knowing it’s coming yet I can’t wait,” she happily tweeted.

Yussuf Ayila defends his actions against his estranged baby mama!

"I didn't neglect my family, Gbemisola wants to kill and inherit my properties" ….Ex-super Eagle, YUSUF AYILA
Ex super eagles' star and Orduspor midfielder, Mr. Yussuf Ayila; there was publication widely circulated in some Nigerian newspapers and soft sell Magazines on Monday, 6th of May 2013 captioned "Ex-Super Eagles Star "Yusuf Ayila Elopes with Mistress, abandons Wife and Children in Ukraine" not only has the story caused anxiety among friends, family and associates it is also a glaring attempt to dent his hard earned image. In view of this we'll like to set the records straight over the allegations levelled against him in order to clear the air to all Nigerians both at home and in Diaspora from his publicist Mr Ola Muhammed

Firstly we'll like to state categorically that Gbemisola is not Ayila's legal wife as widely reported rather she is the mother of his two Kids. Ayila and Gbemisola met years back and started a casual date, the trouble started between them when He asked her to bring his children for holiday in Ukraine. One day while,he lived with her, he opened Gbemi's wardrobe in Ukraine and found different charms including a snake inside a bottle filled with gin in her wardrobe in his house in Ukraine.

It was a confirmation of what he has been hearing from family and friends that she was fetish. He felt uncomfortable living under the same roof with her. In view of this development he told her to return home yet she remained adamant,at that point he told her that he can't cope with her bad habit anymore that she has to go back to Nigeria or he will leave the house for her.

Meanwhile, before seeing the charms in her wardrobe she is always having problems with Ayila's Mother, He had to leave the house in Ukraine to get another apartment when she refused to leave,He never stopped paying the house rent even after his departure to Orduspor, Turkey where he was loaned to,He was also paying his children's school fees and other bills. When he discovered that her Visa will expire few months ago after leaving her to Turkey. He sent her a mail that she should leave Ukraine and go back to Nigeria because she wasn't doing anything in Ukraine but she remained adamant. He sent her another mail that he will stop paying the house rent in Ukraine by the end of April because she had no business there and when she refused to leave he sent someone to her to collect her passport before she tarnish his image and career.
She was also reported to be having an affair with a popular top Fuji star but he always ignore such allegations. However his family called from Nigeria that they discovered charms in her white bag recently. Gbemisola had wrecked so many havoc to him both emotionally and spiritually which affected him career wise and even caused a strain in his relationship with his mother. She went as far as reporting him to a popular Lagos cleric in order to attack him. There are evidences which include recorded conversations of her and the parties involved.

Mr. Ayila believes that the end will justify the means because this was a woman that he gives 1 Million Naira monthly and also gives her parents monthly allowance as well, and On the accusation that he eloped with a mistress and abandoned his children he states emphatically that he's a good Muslim and a responsible father who loves and still caters for his children till date,on the said mistress let me say it emphatically that he is legally married to a very responsible, God fearing lady who is his wife and not a mistress as she claimed if she does not stop tarnishing the image of my client i will release to all electronics media and social media her recorded conversation with some herbalist and alfa's in Lagos and the video......

Letter to Afrocandy - You Have Brought Shame To Igbo Land!

For some days now, controversial actress-cum-singer, Judith Opara Mazagwu better known as Afrocandy has been in the news for her unclad movie. While she has been lambasted by many people, the actress has shown an 'I don't care attitude' to her critics.

A letter by Uzor Ngoladi revealed 'his' anger at the Igbo-lady, who has allegedly brought shame to them. Below is the letter;

Dear Judith Opara Mazagwu,
Whenever I eventually meet you the daring she-d** in person, I shall ask effusively: “Nwanne nwanyi, I bu onye Igbo?” If your answer is affirmative, I shall yell: “Tufia!!!” to high heavens and probe further: “Nna gi na nne gi, ha bu cha ndigbo? Is your father and mother originally Igbos?” If you, the architect of w**re-llywood, return a negative answer, I shall heave the deepest sigh of relief and dance with reckless abandon. I shall wail with anguish if your parents are truly of the noble Igbo stock.
Opara’s daughter, what has the Igbos, who pride their women in purity, decorum and royalty done to you? What has Ikemba’s people done to deserve the putrid essence you displayed in that raunchy movie trailer? The dignity of womanhood, you desecrated shamelessly.
You should have converted your nomenclature to that of the an**al kingdom before you set the cameras rolling. Who called the shots for filming that monstrosity that debased womanhood and motherhood? Yes, you suffered child abuse but how does being raped at the age of 19 confer a p0*n star designation? Who sponsored the spread of your g3nit*ls in public sphere with that pervert who wants his scenes deleted after the collateral damage had been done? I hope a copy of Destructive Instinct will be delivered to Censors Board in Nigeria for classification.
Judith Opara, that bald headed bloke was actually squeezing, kissing and car3ssing your bu*t0cks and b00bs on camera while you were letting out uhhhs and ahhhs? You had the nerve to upload same online? What manner of poverty configured the mental faculties of a 41 year old mother of two to engage in unclad and display the se% tape on the internet without consideration for her children’s future?
It is an abomination in Igbo land nay Africa for a child to behold his mother in such intense s3xing expedition. Not even se% starved r*pis*s dare to devour a victim before her child’s very eyes. I hope your children will never watch Destructive Instinct, the atrocity you produced.
Until we can trace your lineage to Igbo kindred, I doubt the language of your name. I challenge your brothers, sisters, cousins aunts, uncles (your parents are most definitely dead), friends, relatives, classmates etc to write a rejoinder and authenticate your tribe. I enjoin other concerned brethren both at home and in the Diaspora not to judge you harshly but pray to God whom you offended with impunity, to hasten a financial breakthrough that will discourage your big screen whorish aspiration. Your choice of career is an aberration to us, of eastern Nigeria.
I solicit for contributions from public spirited Nigerians and Africans. Afro Candy is in dire need of rehabilitation – mentally, medically, financially, spiritually and otherwise.
A psychiatrist facility will do a lot for Ada anyi nwanyi. The woman who can perform unclad, naked on stage owes a psychotherapist a visit.
My dearest sister, conduct a thorough research and you will discover that bl*e film practitioners are never regarded, not even in Hollywood. I advise you to refrain from s3xu*l motion pictures that will further saturate our cyber space with unwholesome content.
Yours Sincerely,
Uzor Ngoladi

The "Nigerian" label !

The internet has been set agog with reactions coming from all angles, following the identification of the killers of 25 year old British soldier “Drummer Lee Rigby Royal Regiment of Fusiliers” by two men identified as Michael Mujid Adeboloja, and Michael  Adebowale in the Woolwich neighbourhood of London.

Firstly, I hereby send my heartfelt condolence to members of his family, friends and associates, most especially his wife and son. May God strengthen every one of them at these trying times. Drummer Lee Rigby was a true hero who lived and died for a course he believed in. May his soul find eternal rest in God's bosom, Amen.

To the main issue that brought me here, the issue of the "Nigerian" label as it concerns the international community. So many people of other Nationalities out there, tend to associate themselves with Nigeria through either possessing  the Nigerian passport or bearing Nigerian names; does that make them Nigerians? as far as i am concerned, it does not.

On the other hand, this could be another move to upgrade  Nigeria's current position in the  list of terrorist states. Otherwise, how else would it be better explained that some young men, who have never been to Nigeria all their lives, nor carry a Nigerian passport, are being labelled Nigerians, simply because they go by  Nigerian names.

This needn't be so, as a Country, we have our peculiar local challenges, which we are battling to bring under control.

By the way, We have so many Nigerians out there bringing glory to Britain, some of them include: Aston Villa’s Gabriel Agbolahor,
Britain’s discus record holder Lawrence Okoye,
Beijing Olympic British gold medalist Christine Ohuruogu,
British Olympic female football star Eniola Aluko,
British Olympic basketball queen Timi Fagbenle,
.......and the list goes on.
Why has it not been so emphasized that they are Nigerians, same way these criminals are being labelled?

From what i saw on the internet, these are highly dis-functional and mis-directed  young men who are only looking for a platform to carry out their obnoxious acts. His speech:

“(we)swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you.”
”The only reason reason we have done this is because Muslims are dying every day.
“There are many, many ayah (religious verses) throughout the Koran that says we must fight them as they fight us, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.”
“I apologize that women had to witness this today but in our land women have to see the same.
“You people will never be safe. Remove your government. They don’t care about you.
“You think David Cameron will get stuck in the street, when we start busting our guns?
“You think your politicians are gonna die? not it’s gonna be the average like you, and your children.
“So get rid of them. Tell them to bring our troops back, so you can all live in peace.”
This is clearly a speech motivated by "terrorist fundamentalists".  This is not the typical Nigerian young man.

Please not every criminal out there with a Nigerian name, is Nigerian. We are widely disassociated from such individuals and acts!
