Suspected ritualists invade hospital in Ekiti, demand newborn baby!

A hospital in Ekiti-Nigeria was allegedly invaded at the weekend by hoodlums who demanded that a day old baby be handed to them.
The attackers, numbering 5 and suspected to be ritualists, ransacked the public health centre in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, early on Saturday morning and made the unusual demand.
The staff of the hospital promptly informed them that there were no day-old babies within the premises but the assailants were not satisfied by the response and proceeded to assault the staff.
An official of Ado-Ekiti Local Government Council said: “The hospital workers tried to convince them that babies delivered in the last one week had been discharged, but their explanations fell on deaf ears. They were dealt with mercilessly. This angered them and they beat up the medical personnel. They ransacked the wards and left when they did not find any baby.”
She said one of the victims sustained a leg injury and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Ado-Ekiti.
During his visit to the centre, the Council Chairman, Mr. Tope Olanipekun, described the attack as “the height of callousness”.
Olanipekun said: “The incident actually happened and we are taking steps to forestall a recurrence. The doctor-in-charge has reported the case at the Okesa Police Station and we are planning to fence all health centres and strengthen security.
“I have instructed that night duty be suspended until adequate security measures are put in place. We have also advised that expectant mothers in labour should be referred to Okeyinmi Health Centre.”
Police spokesman Victor Olu-Babayemi said the incident had not been officially reported to the police.

China Officially Announces Change To Infamous One-Child Policy!

China has pledged to loosen its one-child policy and end a controversial "re-education through labour" programme, state media reported on Friday, days after the conclusion of a meeting of top Communist party leaders in Beijing.
Under the new policy, couples in which one member is an only child will be allowed to have two children, according to China's state newswire Xinhua; currently, couples can only have two children if both members are only children themselves.
China will also end its controversial re-education through labour programme, a system of administrative, extralegal detentions which can send people to prison for four years without conviction. Activists and human rights groups have long criticised the system as giving authorities the power to detain critics and opponents without due process. Details of the two policy shifts and timelines for their implementation are still unclear.
The reforms were decided at the Communist party's third plenum, four days of closed-door meetings among about 400 top party leaders, intended to design a blueprint for China's development over the coming decade.
The controvercial one-child policy, introduced in 1979 to keep population growth in check, has been gradually relaxed in recent years. While most Chinese people are still only allowed to have one child, some groups, including ethnic minorities and disabled people, are allowed to have two.
The policy change "should lead to a significant reduction in the abuse of human rights, in terms of forced termination", said Steve Tsang, a professor of Chinese studies at the University of Nottingham. "This is still a very, very, very big issue, and it is one of the most regular abuses of human rights that happens in China."
Tsang said China's unwillingness to abolish the policy altogether suggested it was more concerned with the economic, rather than human cost. "Until now, the growth of the Chinese economy has been propelled by a demographic surplus, and that has been turning into a demographic deficit," he said.
Xinhua said the re-education through labour system would be abolished "as part of efforts to improve human rights and judicial practices".
The Communist party established its re-education through labour system in 1957 under Mao Zedong, to penalise "counter-revolutionaries" outside of judicial channels. But more recently, local police use it to extralegally detain petty criminals, such as thieves and prostitutes, as well as political dissidents and members of banned religious groups. Detentions may last up to four years, and while there are no official statistics, as many as 2 million people could be in detention at any given time.
Other, less dramatic reforms emerged during the plenum, including promises to explore ways of setting up an intellectual property court, reduce the number of crimes subject to the death penalty "step by step", and "build a more impartial, sustainable social security system, with an improved housing guarantee mechanism".

Governor Sule Lamido’s sons arrested bu the EFCC over alleged N10billion fraud!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested two sons of Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido, over an alleged N10billion fraud.
Aminu and Mustapha  Lamido were arrested Thursday, 14th November, 2013 in Kano and flown to Abuja on Friday, 15th November 2013 morning, and are currently being interrogated at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja by a crack team of detectives.
The arrest of the governor’s sons, insiders say, is in furtherance of the investigation that commenced in December 2012 when Aminu Sule Lamido was arrested at the Mallam Aminu Kano Airport en route Cairo, Egypt for failure to declare the $50,000 he had on him.
Although Aminu has since been prosecuted and convicted by a Federal High Court in Kano, investigation as to how he came by the money has led investigations to uncover a web of money laundering in which billions of naira from Jigawa state government accounts are funnelled into the accounts of companies run by the Jigawa state governor and his two sons.
Over N10billion is said to have been transferred from Jigawa state government accounts into the accounts in which Sule Lamido and his two sons have interest from 2007 till date.
The Commission is said to have traced these transfers to 10 companies where Lamido and sons are directors and signatories to the account.
The companies include Bamaina Alluminium Limited, Bamaina Holdings Limited, Bamaina Company Nigeria Limited, Rawda Integrated Services Limited, Speeds International Limited and Saby Integrated Nigeria Limited.
The account of these companies received huge cash inflow between 2007 and 2013, a period that coincide with the tenure of Sule Lamido as governor of Jigawa state. For instance in Bamaina Aluminium where Sule Lamido and his two sons are directors, investigations revealed that the company’s account controlled by Mustapha as signatory received total credit of N1.52billion between January 2010 and August 2013. It recorded a total debit of the same amount, with Mustapha and other companies in which Lamido and his sons are directors, being the beneficiaries.
In the same vein, Bamaina Holdings Limited’s account with the governor as sole signatory received a total of N1.19billion between February 2007 and July 2013.
About N1billion was paid from this account into accounts of companies controlled by the governor and his sons.
Massive lodgements were also discovered in the account of Bamaina Company Nigeria limited controlled by Mustapha as sole signatory from Bamaina Alluminium. Between January 2010 and July 2013, the account received over N500million.
From the account of Rawda Integrated Services Limited controlled by Mustapha, there have also been massive movement of funds to another company run by Sule Lamido, Speeds International Limited. Speeds’ account recorded a turnover ofN2.2billion between January 2007 and February 2010.
In the account of Rawda with a new generation bank investigators discovered the movement of N2.6billion to an unknown signatory.
That account recorded over one hundred withdrawals running to over N600milion in cash between November 2007 and April 2008.
Saby Integrated Services Nigeria Limited, another company owned by Lamido received over N730million from several Jigawa State government agencies between June 2010 and August 2010.

LAMIDO NEVER TOLD PRESIDENT JONATHAN OF $250 MILLION BRIBE ALLEGEDLY COLLECTED BY MINISTER- Reuben Abati!

Following allegations by the Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido, that President Goodluck Jonathan refused to act on information that a serving minister recently collected bribe from an oil company, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Reuben Ababti released a statment on friday, 15th November, 2013 to debunk the claim.

Released Statement below:

"We have noted with much regret, the grossly irresponsible, false and mischievous claim by the Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido that President Goodluck Jonathan has refused to act on information that a serving minister recently collected a bribe of $250 million from an oil company.
The Presidency views the patently bogus allegation reportedly made by the Governor in a radio interview yesterday as an unacceptable and callous attempt to unjustly impugn the integrity of President Jonathan and cast aspersions on the seriousness of his Administration’s efforts to curb corruption.
The allegation and the claim by Alhaji Lamido that he informed President Jonathan of the acceptance of the huge bribe by an unnamed minister is absolutely without any foundation in fact or reality because no such communication has ever taken place between them.
We abhor Governor Lamido’s descent to the unscrupulous, reckless and thoughtless peddling of arrant falsehood in a puerile effort to score cheap political points against President Jonathan for personal and sectional political gains.
If, as he claims, Alhaji Lamido has credible information about a minister receiving the said amount as bribe, he should publicly name the minister involved without  delay and provide evidence to support his allegation.
In the event that he is unable to do so, he should be prepared to offer an unreserved apology to the President and Nigerians for his unwarranted and unjust effort to denigrate, disparage and malign the President and the Federal Government.
While the Jonathan Presidency will continue to make corrupt public officials answerable for their actions, it will not succumb to harassment and blackmail by self-seeking politicians jostling for personal advantage".

Couple filmed 'having sex' through window as bystanders watch in street!

This bizarre video shows a couple being filmed apparently having sex as bystanders look on from the street.
The person filming the scene begins to giggle as they approach the house from across the road in broad daylight.
An outline of what appears to be a couple having sex can be seen through misted glass on the upper floor of a house.
Another man can also be seen filming the scene.
A group of around three people can be heard discussing what they are seeing in the background while continuing to giggle.

Nah waooooo!
