The Nigerian Government has disclosed that the 2014 audit report presented to the National Assembly on Monday, March 14, by the office of the Auditor General of the Federation, is riddled with discrepancies amounting to about N3.3 trillion.
The audit inconsistencies is due to failure of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to the sum of N3,234, 577,666,791.35 into the Federation’s Account Allocation Committee, also the failure to remit the sum of $235,685,861 from gas sale in 2014 by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas into the account.
The money was believed to either or instead transfer into some undisclosed Escrow Accounts.
