At least 16 people, were killed in a gun attack on the popular Grand Bassam beach resort, south of Ivory - Coast on Sunday, March 13.
Official report revealed that a French, a German national, were among the four Westerners who died in the attack. Others were Ivorians and Africans from neighboring countries.
The Grand Bassam beach resort located 40km from the commercial capital Abidjan in Ivory Coast, West Africa, attracts both both locals and foreigners.
Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb has claimed responsibility for the attack through statements it released online.
