Admitting to the crime in a press conference in February, Warmbier said "I committed the crime of taking down a political slogan from the staff holding area of the Yanggakdo International Hotel," he said tearfully while reading from a statement. "I never, never should have allowed myself to be lured by the United States administration to commit a crime in this country."

Multiple Taxation System - Ekiti State Impose Levy On School Children!

Private primary and secondary schools in Ekiti state, western Nigeria is currently totally shut down as the proprietors began a 3-day warning strike.
Reports say they are protesting the =N=1000 education development levy or tax...placed on EACH PUPIL...in all the privates schools in the state.
Wait a minute, did you say 'EACH PUPIL'???? Are minors supposed to pay levy (or tax...all nah the same) ? mmm let me continue....
This move, considered to be 'multiple taxation' by the state government prompted the school owners to  stage the protest. They request that the government either remove the levy or face total shut-down of schools.
Please ain't the government supposed to offer 'Free education' to pupils,  build more schools or support and monitor private schools so that they don't take undue advantage of the citizens?.
The Ekiti State government while reacting to situation, through the Commissioner for Information, Lanre Ogunsuyi, admitted that the government indeed issued the levy but asked for understanding from the proprietors.
Understanding....in these hard times with harsh economic situation?
Levy imposed on school children?
Are not the parents of these children already taxed from their various professions?

Are the private schools not already taxed?
Are there no other sources to generate revenue in the state?...
By the way...what is the money for?

About 13million Coast Dwelling Americans Risks Being Washed Away!

According to a study published on Monday, March 14, in the Nature Climate Change journal, residents of North Carolina’s Outer Banks barrier islands, Tyrrell County and up to 13.1 million coast-dwelling Americans: Miami-Dade and Broward counties in Florida may be at risk from encroaching seawater resulting from swelling ocean by 2100.

This map shows how many people living in coastal counties may be at risk from sea-level rise by 2100. The estimates are based on a lower-end sea-level rise projection of 0.9 meter (3 feet).

To address this, some concerned citizens in the affected areas embarked on am enlightenment campaign on the inevitable situation, and to refresh the beaches by sand filling, which is renewable every 5 years.

These question however comes to play:  How well is the 'politicized' Climate Change and Sea Level Rise campaign doing in these area?
