Nigerian Army Vows To Fish Out Col. Inusa's Killer(s)!

Colonel Samaila Inusa of the Nigerian Army, who was whisked away on Sunday March 27, 2016, by armed men, suspected to be kidnappers at Kamazo, along Kaduna Refinery Road, in Chikun local government area of Kaduna Statewas on Tuesday, March 29 found dead at about 6.00pm around Ajyaita village off Eastern Bypass Kaduna, Kaduna State - north-western Nigeria.


Colonel Inusa was reportedly abducted alongside his wife, however, the abductors dropped off his wife and left with him in his car. They headed towards Abuja, Nigeria's capital city.

Investigation indicates that Col Inusa was killed same day he was kidnapped by his abductors, because the body was found already decomposing.

The Nigerian Army authorities stated that arrangements are in place to move the body to 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna, as they promised the killer(s) will be fished out to face the full wrath of the law.


Egyptair MS181 Hijack!

A Cairo bound Egyptian Air plane, flight MS181 with about 81 people on board was on Tuesday, March 29, hijacked while on its way from Alexandria at about 0505 local time.


The Plane was diverted to Larnaka airport - Cyprus, Tuesday morning. According to report, there were suspicions of bomb on board the hijacked plane but Egyptair officials doubt this claim. 

EgyptAir authorities stated via its twitter handle that negotiations with the Hijacker resulted in the release of about 40 passengers, except the crew and four foreigners.
Reports has it that the hijacker is an Egyptian national identified as Ibrahim Samaha.

Horrific....Man Beheads Toddler In Front Of Her Mother In Taipei!

A 33-year-old man, simply identified as Wang, is in police custody for beheading a four-year-old girl in front of her mother in Taipei, Taiwan.
Reports has it that the incident occurred outside an underground rail station at  about 11am local times, as the toddler was cycling her pedal-less training bike, they were on their way to meet the girl’s brother, sister and grandfather. 

At first, the mother thought the man was helping the girl lift her bicycle to a pavement, until she realised that the man was hacking at her daughter. 
Neighbours said the suspect usually acted very strange, he would “shout and scream” while at home.

Persistent Fuel Scarcity Unleash Undue Hardship On Nigerians!

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari met with officials of NUPENG and PENGASSAN at the Aso Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday, March 23 2016, reason may be to seek ways to alleviate the suffering of the masses imposed by incessant fuel scarcity.


Let's hope some positive improvement is seen as soon as possible because this situation is fast becoming a norm.

Nigeria's 2016 Budget Passed, Awaits President's Concent!

After months of hesitation, Nigeria's National Assembly on Wednesday, March 23, passed the 2016 budget, with a total allocation of =N=6.06 trillion, a reduction on the 6.08 trillion proposed by President Muhammadu Buhari.


The passage however awaits President Buhari’s nod before it can be passed as an Act and be operational.

Statutory transfers  N351,370,000,000
Debt service N1,475,320,000,000
Recurrent expenditure N2,646,389,236,196
Capital expenditure N1,587,598,122,031
Fiscal deficit  N2,204,936,925,711.16
Deficit/GDP 2.14 per cent
The parameters proposed by President Buhari  retained.
Oil price benchmark and crude oil production reportedly left at US38 per barrel and 2.2000mbpd respectively.
Exchange left at N197/USD1. 
The assumptions according to the report, were adopted in line with recommendations of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF, and Fiscal Strategy Paper, FSP.
