A recent largest ever obesity study conducted by researchers at the Imperial College London found that nearly four in 10 Britons will be dangerously overweight by 2025.
The experts blamed this development on the government for failing to bring in higher taxes on sugary foods and drinks, stating that the crisis has become a ‘national tragedy’. The study also showed within ten years from now, a lot of people will be severely obese so much so that drugs as statins and beta-blockers which lower blood pressure, cut cholesterol and taking by millions of older people will stop working, leaving them with surgery options to prevent disease and early death.
