A mother has been charged over the death of her two-year-old daughter, after her boyfriend was accused of the girl's murder.
Amina Agboola died in November 2013 after being taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.
Mother Sarah Raqueman, of Scott Drive in Yaxley, Cambridgeshire, has been charged with causing or allowing the toddler's death and two counts of neglect against two other children.
The 28-year-old was remanded in custody when she appeared at Peterborough Magistrates' Court this morning. She will next appear before Cambridge Crown Court on January 14.
Dean Harris, her 19-year-old boyfriend, also of Scott Drive, has already been charged with murder.
He is next due to appear in court on February 28.
The couple were arrested after taking Amina to hospital. A post-mortem found she died from a blunt force injury which ruptured her liver.
After her death Amina’s father, Reuben Agboola, said: "I want to thank everyone for the continuing love, prayer and support for my little princess.
"I am extremely grateful and proud to have her as my child, I believe she is now at a better place."
