The world marked Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on 15th January, a day set aside not only in recognition of King's birthday, but also to celebrate the life and achievements of an influential American civil rights leader, who is most well-known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transport and for racial equality in the United States.
Martin Luther King Jr Day, is combined with other days in different states of the United States.
For example, in Arizona and New Hampshire, it is combined with Civil Rights Day.
The day is known as Wyoming Equality Day in the state of Wyoming.
In Idaho, it is observed together with Human Rights Day.
It is also a day that is combined with Robert E. Lee's birthday in some states.
