Jennifer Hudson Shows Off Her Dramatic Weight Loss!
It looks as though J. Hud is now part of team slim waist!
Over the last few years, we’ve seen Jennifer Hudson drop major pounds as the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, and judging from a few new photos, she seem’s to be at her smallest size ever.
This week, photos emerged of the actress in a bra and jeans combo and reactions from her fans varied, with some feeling as though she’s too thin [earlier in her career, she was told she was too big, so it seems as though she can't catch a break!].
It’s true that Jennifer looks even slimmer than usual, but it’s because she had to lose weight for a new movie titled “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete,” where she plays a heroin addict named Gloria. Back in October she told Huffington Post:
They did request that I lose about 10 pounds for [the movie.] I don’t know that I did. [Laughs] But for “Winnie,” I did. But for this one, it was just like, “Oh, if you could lose a little more weight.” But I did learn eventually that with heroin addicts, in doing our research, that it’s not necessarily like a physical thing where you’re too thin or too heavy. [Director George Tillman Jr.] had this thing where Gloria was so into her drugs that she sacrificed the food, like, “I don’t want to eat, I just want to get high”.
Guess that’s what must have stemmed her to look like she’s lost weight or she wasn’t eating or taking care of herself.
‘Reps didn’t call for my resignation. Go back to school’ – Oduah blasts critics!
The embattled minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah has stated that the House of Reps recommendation over her part in the N255 million BMW contract scandal did not stipulate that she should resign.
The minister said those who were reading into the report and asserting for her resignation did not read the report well and should go back to school. She said the report said Mr. President should review some of the things she did as aviation minister.
She made the comments to reporters whilst inspecting the expanded hall at the departure wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport.
She stated, “I think it means you don’t read or you probably don’t understand English because I read it too. What is there is what Mr. President can and should review. That is what they said there. Probably you should go back to school.” She said the expanded hall with 30 immigration counters would be commissioned before the end of the firdt quarter of 2014.
“We want to start the use of these facilities by the end of first quarter. What is very key is that passenger travel experience will be very different, which means you have the comfort, the safety, security and most importantly, you increase the capacity, which means you have ample space to do what you are supposed to do.
She continued, “Nigerians should expect the airport that was promised them; aviation that would be catalyst to the nation’s growth, aviation that has been reposition and most importantly, an aviation that will create jobs and skills for Nigeria aviation. Ours is to maximise the capacities that have not been maximised all these years.”

Pope Francis urges all to be Peacemakers!
Pope Francis, celebrating his first Christmas as Roman Catholic leader, on Wednesday called for dialogue to end the conflict in South Sudan and all wars, saying everyone should strive to be personal peacemakers.
Speaking to tens of thousands of people from the central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, the same spot where he emerged to the world as pope when he was elected on March 13, Francis also made another appeal for the environment to be saved from "human greed and rapacity".
The leader of the 1.2 billion-member Church wove his first "Urbi et Orbi" (to the city and world) message around the theme of peace. He called for "social harmony in South Sudan, where current tensions have already caused numerous victims and are threatening peaceful coexistence in that young state."
Thousands are believed to have died in violence divided along ethnic lines between the Nuer and Dinka tribes in the country, which seceded from Sudan in 2011 after decades of war.
He also called for dialogue to end the conflicts in Syria, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Iraq, and prayed for a "favorable outcome" to the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians.
"Wars shatter and hurt so many lives!" he said, saying their most vulnerable victims were children, elderly, battered women and the sick.
The thread running through the message was that individuals had a role in promoting peace, either with their neighbor or between nations. The message of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem was directed at "every man or woman who keeps watch through the night, who hopes for a better world, who cares for others while humbly seeking to do his or her duty," he said.
DAILY PEACEMAKERS:
"God is peace: let us ask him to help us to be peacemakers each day, in our life, in our families, in our cities and nations, in the whole world," he said.
Pilgrims came from all over the world for Christmas at the Vatican and some said it was because they felt Francis had brought a breath of fresh air to the Church.
In his speech, Francis asked God to "look upon the many children who are kidnapped, wounded and killed in armed conflicts, and all those who are robbed of their childhood and forced to become soldiers."
He also called for a "dignified life" for migrants, praying tragedies such as one in which hundreds died in a shipwreck off the coast of the Italian island of Lampedusa are never repeated, and made a particular appeal against human trafficking, which he called a "crime against humanity".
"(He) is bringing a new era into the Church, a Church that is focusing much more on the poor and that is more austere, more lively .." said Dolores Di Benedetto, who came from the pope's homeland, Argentina, to attend Christmas eve Mass.
Giacchino Sabello, an Italian, said he wanted to get a first-hand look at the new pope: "I thought it would be very nice to hear the words of this pope close up and to see how the people are overwhelmed by him."
