Sudanese Christian mom holed up in US embassy, facing new charges!

News has it that the Sudanese mom who was freed after being sentenced to death for refusing to renounce Christianity is currently holed up with her family in the U.S. embassy in Khartoum, unable to flee the war-torn nation and facing new charges instigated by her own relatives, sources told FoxNews.

Meriam Ibrahim and her family are waiting for new travel documents to be issued by the U.S. after being detained last week for what Sudanese authorities alleged were forged South Sudan papers when she tried to leave the country, a source close to the family said. Making matters worse for the mother of two are a new set of charges raised by her own Muslim relatives.

“There are new charges relating to her relationship to her father,” said the source.

 “Possibly to prove that she is Muslim, but nothing has been served so it’s unclear.”

Muslim relatives intend to take her to court to prove that she belongs to their family, according to Ibrahim's supporters. 

The new charges were filed in a Sudanese family court, with a trial date set for Thursday, according to her attorneys.

This woman and her innocent children has been subjected to series of unjustified traumatic experiences, all because she made a choice to be affiliated to a faith she choose; and the Sudanese government have obviously kept a sealed lips on this.....Where is the protection of the basic human right which every responsible government owes the people she governs?

Anambra NDLEA raids Obosi community, arrests drug peddlers!

According to report, the Anambra state Commandant of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has embarked on a house-to-house and stop and search brigade raid on drug peddlers.

This was informed by the incessant drug peddling and cocaine sale, which is reportedly on the increase in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

"Fighting drug peddling is the beginning of fighting crime says the Anambra State" said Mr. Sule Momodu the Anambra state Commandant of the drug enforcement agency.

Information made available to newsmen has it that during the raid in Obosi, four suspects were arrested and several kilograms of Indian hemp recovered. Among those arrested during the raid were two female suspects.

The state Commander said that serious attention should be paid to arresting drug traffickers as drug stimulates crime.

He attributed the day’s success in apprehending the traffickers to proper strategic planning, adding that the arrested suspects would be prosecuted.

Murder of Israeli teens- Israel's air force launches attack on Gaza Strip!

Israel's air force reportedly launched strikes on dozens of targets in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, this is coming hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that “Hamas will pay” for the murders of three Israeli teens.

The bodies of the youths identified as Eyal Yifrah, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Fraenkel, a 16-year-old with dual Israeli-American citizenship, were found Monday just north of Hebron in the West Bank, and led to outpourings of grief and rage in the Jewish State, after they disappeared on June 12 while hitchhiking home.

According to Israeli information, two well-known Hamas operatives from Hebron, Amer Abu Aisheh, 33, a locksmith, and Marwan Qawasmeh, 29, a barber, are the primary suspects. 

It was gathered that the suspects have not been seen since the teens disappeared, and military officials said the search for them would continue.

Israeli soldiers blew up a door of Abu Aisheh's home in Hebron early Tuesday, causing damage to the home, but did not destroy the rest of the house, said an Israeli military official, speaking on condition of anonymity due to protocol. He did not elaborate. Flames were seen after the blast.

Reacting to the incident, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was quoted as saying at a hastily arranged security cabinet meeting Monday. "(The teens) were kidnapped and murdered in cold blood by animals,"  

He continued..."In the name of the whole of Israel, I ask to tell the dear families - to the mothers, the fathers, the grandmothers and the grandfathers, the brothers and sisters - our hearts are bleeding, the whole nation is crying with them."

Coming on the heels of the Senate's passage of the Pension Reform Act 2014 that officially accommodates employees of private firms in the contributory pension scheme.

Information just getting in says President Goodluck Jonathan has signed the Pension Reform Bill, 2014 into law. The new law repeals the Pension Reform Act, No 2, 2004, making it possible for employees in either the public service of the Federation, Federal Capital Territory, States or Local Government and private sector, to receive pension benefits as and when due.
