According to report, the Anambra state Commandant of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has embarked on a house-to-house and stop and search brigade raid on drug peddlers.
This was informed by the incessant drug peddling and cocaine sale, which is reportedly on the increase in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
"Fighting drug peddling is the beginning of fighting crime says the Anambra State" said Mr. Sule Momodu the Anambra state Commandant of the drug enforcement agency.
Information made available to newsmen has it that during the raid in Obosi, four suspects were arrested and several kilograms of Indian hemp recovered. Among those arrested during the raid were two female suspects.
The state Commander said that serious attention should be paid to arresting drug traffickers as drug stimulates crime.
He attributed the day’s success in apprehending the traffickers to proper strategic planning, adding that the arrested suspects would be prosecuted.
