Mother in-law disapproval, Clooney responds to UK's Daily Mail story!

Following UK’s Daily Mail story claiming that George Clooney's future mother-in-law, Baria Alamuddin, didn't approve of his marriage to her daughter Amal,
Clooney reportedly took to USA TODAY to write the following response.
"I want to speak to the irresponsibility of Monday's Daily Mail report. I seldom respond to tabloids, unless it involves someone else and their safety or well being. The Daily Mail has printed a completely fabricated story about my fiancĂ©e's mother opposing our marriage for religious reasons. It says Amal's mother has been telling "half of Beirut" that she's against the wedding. It says they joke about traditions in the Druze religion that end up with the death of the bride.
Let me repeat that: the death of the bride.
First of all, none of the story is factually true. Amal's mother is not Druze. She has not been to Beirut since Amal and I have been dating, and she is in no way against the marriage — but none of that is the issue. I'm, of course, used to the Daily Mail making up stories — they do it several times a week — and I don't care. If they fabricate stories of Amal being pregnant, or that the marriage will take place on the set of Downton Abbey, or that I'm running for office, or any number of idiotic stories that they sit at their computers and invent, I don't care.
But this lie involves larger issues. The irresponsibility, in this day and age, to exploit religious differences where none exist, is at the very least negligent and more appropriately dangerous. We have family members all over the world, and the idea that someone would inflame any part of that world for the sole reason of selling papers should be criminal.
I'm the son of a newsman; I accept the idea that freedom of speech can be an inconvenience to my private life from time to time, but this story, like so many others, is picked up by hundreds of other outlets citing the Daily Mail as their source, including Boston.com, New York Daily News, Gulf News, Emirates 24/7 and so on.
The Daily Mail, more than any other organization that calls itself news, has proved time and time again that facts make no difference in the articles they make up. And when they put my family and my friends in harm's way, they cross far beyond just a laughable tabloid and into the arena of inciting violence.
They must be so very proud".

The Mail has since taken the story down.

Fraudulent Company massively defraud unemployed Nigerian graduates!

Despite the pathetic situation of the unemployed Nigerian graduate, fraudsters are bent on taking advantage of the circumstance to defraud them by promising non-existing jobs for a fee.

The on-going 'job offer' scam by an alleged Lagos based Oil and Gas Company simply identified as Oasis Oil and Gas company, should be a major cause for concern as victims and concerned citizens have questioned how the organization was able to engage in fraudulent activities over time, and undetected by relevant authorities.

It was gathered that the scamster engage in sending random job offer mails to prospects, inviting them to come for interviews with promises of accommodation at top hotels on Victoria Island for candidate residing outside Lagos.

This is usually after the applicants must have paid the sum of N3,000s service charge in favour of a certain Life Career Outsourcing agencies, with account details as follows:
Name: Engr (Miss) Olojede Temitope,
Account No: 0016393656,
Guarantee Trust Bank.
Only for the applicants to get to the designated hotels and discover they had been duped.

An unemployed graduate who almost fell victim, revealed to Roving Informant on anonymity terms that he received a mail from one Oasis Oil and Gas company, inviting him to come for an "employment chat" by 9am, at a top hotel on Victoria Island on Monday, October 21st, 2013; elated and ignorant of any mischief, he rushed to share the supposed good news with some members of his family, who decided to investigate further into the offer to ascertain it's authenticity, since their ward did not apply to the said company for a job. Only for them to discover that it was a scam.

His story:

"I was going through my mails when I discovered a job offer mail sent from one Lagos based Oasis Oil and Gas company, asking me to come for an employment chat at Federal Palace Hotel on Monday, October 21st, by 9am prompt. They told me that receiving the mail, simply meant I have been short listed for the job. Overwhelmed that I got that kind of job without even applying, I wondered how they got my C.V, then concluded they might have gotten it from one of the employment agencies I registered with; I called and shared the news with my uncle, he asked me some questions and promised to help me look into the offer.  About a week later, my Uncle called and asked me if I made any payments the any bank in connection to the job offer? I told him I hadn't. He said I shouldn't even think of doing that because it has been discovered that the whole thing was a scam. When we goggled the Company, we discovered that they don't even exist in Nigeria. I really thank God for revealing this to me as I would have traveled all the way from the East for the so called 'employment chat'”. He said.

The story is however not the same for other applicants, as they allegedly fell victim to the scam.
Based on the above revelation, Roving Informant paid a visit to the venue of the supposed employment chat on Monday, October 21st 2013, but was told on inquiry at the gate that there was no such thing happening at the hotel. “i hope you are not among the victims? because people have been coming here for this interview, the whole thing is a scam, there is nothing like that here, you can go inside to further confirm this”. One of the security men stated.

At the reception, some of the hotel staff expressed worries over the issues stressing that the Oasis job interview is nothing but a fraud, as the hotel has absolutely nothing to do with it. They also stated that over the past three months, applicants have been coming from far and near to make inquiries about the job offers only to discover that there was nothing of such going on there.
“People have been coming here to make inquiries about the offer, some of them who came in from Port-Harcourt and other states in the East were stranded after they discovered they have been skimmed.
Some of them who could not hide their emotions sat on the pavement and wept, they begged for transportation money back to their base. It is rather unfortunate”.

Information garnered also reveled that it was observed over time that the anonymous operator of the fraudulent savings account with the Guarantee Trust Bank withdraws from the account mainly through the ATM when ever the amount paid accumulates to a large sum.

#BringBackOurGirls Campaigners Urge Members Not To Be Distracted By Twitter War!

The Bring Back Our Girls Campaigners have urged their members not to be distracted by the on-going twitter war against Washington-based public relations firm, Levick.

According to Channels News, media reports have suggested that the firm was hired by President Goodluck Jonathan to handle Public Relations job for the federal government; However, there have been criticisms of the firm’s action through the hashtag #SomeoneTellLevick.

A leader in the group, Hajiya Aishatu Yesufu urged the members to direct their social media activism towards ensuring the safe return of the Chibok girls. The #SomeoneTellLevick hashtag trended in Nigeria on Thursday generating over 3,600 tweets, according to social media analytics site, Topsy.

It was revealed that Nigeria’s social media users accused Levick of despising and intimidating Nigerians regarding the over 250 girls kidnapped by members of the Boko Haram sect.

According tp the story, the night before the murder Adeola also known as Sunday his 30-year-old sister Rukayat and dined with her.
Rukayat was later found dead by her fiancé on Tuesday 15 July, at about 8:30pm.
After his arrest and interrogation by the Police, Adeola said that he did not kill his sister intentionally.
“I didn’t have the intention of killing her, she was my sister. If I wanted to kill her, I wouldn’t leave the knife at the scene and I would wear a glove to prevent my finger prints. The incident happened when we were dragging,” he confessed.
The deceased younger brother Abideen Omotayo, believes Adeola could not have killed their sister alone and pleaded with the Police to further investigate the matter.
I have an inkling he did not kill our sister alone. He used to be a member of Eiye Confraternity when he was studying at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, but was expelled around 2008 because of his involvement in cultism,” Abideen said.
A resident of the street who pleaded anonymity spoke to PM NEWS said “We got to know of her death Tuesday night, over 24 hours after she was murdered. Her boyfriend only came to visit her on his way back from work when he found her dead and raised the alarm.”
Relatives react to the murder:
A relative of the decease Bolaji Mustapha wrote on his facebook page:“I woke to sorrow and sadness; my niece was murdered right on her bed… What has she done to deserve a death penalty? This is evil,”.
Another comment from Salau-Adekola Funmilola Balqees says:
No matter the offence you committed, they should have forgiven you and not murder you. This is cruelty of the highest order. We only find solace in the fact that God knows best. May Allah forgive your sins and be merciful to you,”
Olajumoke Adelabu posted “A strong lady you were, always ready to withstand all odds. I still remember the last time we saw and all the interesting stuff we chatted about. Omotayo Adedapo Rukayat I wish you were allowed to attain more achievements,”.
