Jay-Z has responded to criticism over his controversial trip to Cuba by posting a new song,Open Letter.
The rapper and his wife Beyonce visited the country for their fifth wedding anniversary, despite the existence of a US travel embargo to the region, which has been in place since the 1960s.
Republican politicians publically attacked the couple for the move, claiming that the pair did not have permission to travel to the country.
However, it has since been confirmed by the US Treasury that their holiday had been sanctioned and was therefore legal. The White House have since released a statement denying that President Obama, who is famously friends with the pop couple, had anything to do with the sanctioning.
To the politicians who are calling for an investigation into the legality of the trip, Jay-Z raps on Open Letter: "They wanna give me jail time and a fine. Fine, let me commit a real crime."
The track emerged on the rapper's Life + Times blog yesterday.
