The newly renovated buildings at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos state have been gutted by fire.
Daily Times gathered that the fire occurred at the 11B quarters of the Police College on Tuesday.
According to the Police College Public Relations Officer, DSP Samuel Jinadu, the incident occurred at the 1630 hours of Tuesday, 12th November.
Jinadu said a distress call was afterwards made to the men of the Fire Service who quickly responded promptly and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the next block.
It was observed that the upper rooms of the one story apartment was ravaged by the inferno suggestive that properties of the officer in that part of the block went up in flames
However, the DSP said investigations are ongoing to determine the real cause of the fire.
