Aftermath of the recently concluded anti-corruption summit hosted by the British Prime Minister David Cameron and held in London on Thursday, May 12, 2016, indicates that the fight against corruption might be tackled more seriously than before now, as countries like France, the Netherlands, Nigeria and Afghanistan will play active roles in the British decision to publish public registers of the real owners of companies.
Sounds like another version of the "Panama Papars".
British Prime Minister's office confirmed this Thursday, following international pledges to prepare and publish registers of who really owns companies in a collective effort to crack down on money laundering.
More so, David Cameron Cameron stated that for the first time, “foreign companies that already hold or want to buy property in the UK will be forced to reveal who really owns them” .
