The rains are almost here, yet most of the drainage on the major roads are blocked, and there appear no signs that they will be cleared or drained. Take a look at the drainage along the New Road end of Lekki Peninsula, Lagos state, Nigeria.
Taking into cognizance the flood history of our environment, blocked drainage as seen in all nook and crannies is a major factor that contributes to these overwhelming flood.
