Georgia Executes 1st Female In 70 Years!
Kelly Renee Gissendaner, became the first woman to be executed in 70 years in the U.S state of Georgia on Wednesday, after she died by lethal injection at about 12:21 am, having exhausted all her state and federal appeals.
Before Gissendaner was executed, she apologized for her action and sang "Amazing Grace."
The 47 year-old mother of three was sentenced to death for masterminding the February 7, 1997 murder of her husband Douglas in Gwinnett County. Her boyfriend, Gregory Owen, who killed her husband, testified against her in exchange for a deal that spared his life.
Gissendaner, has had two previous scheduled executions postponed in February due to a winter storm, and in March, when authorities found a cloudy appearance in the drug that was supposed to be used for the lethal injection.
Before Gissendaner was executed, she apologized for her action and sang "Amazing Grace."

Olu Falea Freed By Abductors!
Chief Samuel Oluyemisi Falae CFR (Olu Falae) was on Thursday, September 24th, released by his abductors after four days in their den.
Chief Olu Falae was kidnapped from his farm in Ilado village, Akure - North L.G in Ondo state at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, September 22.
Narrating his ordeal, Chief Olu Falae who was dropped off by the kidnappers in front of a hotel in Owo, Ondo State, said he trekked several kilometers to get to the hideout of his abductors, and slept on the floor for the four days he was kidnapped.
Olu Falae was escorted home by Solomon Arase, the Inspector General of Police, IGP at about 4.14pm in a black Police SUV, and was received by the Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko,

Scores Killed In Deadly Stampede in Mecca!
Atleast over 700 pilgrims were reportedly killed and scores injured in a stampede considered the deadliest disaster at the 2015 Hajj, since the 1990 tragedy that claimed more than 1,400 lives after panic broke out among crowds inside a tunnel.
The stampede happened on Thursday, September 24, when two large groups of pilgrims who were preparing for one of the last major rites of their trip met on a major intersection, outside in the Mina valley, a few miles outside Mecca, where a camp of 160,000 tents fills with millions of visitors.
Rescue workers raced to the scene to offer first aid and load the most critically injured people into rescue helicopters and hundreds of ambulances.

Nigerian Senate president, Bokola Saraki has appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal for failure to fully declare his assets.
During the hearing, the Senate president lamented before the Tribunal that the only reason while he is being tried is because he is the Senate President.
Last week, the Code Conduct Tribunal Chairman, Justice Danladi Umar, ordered his arrest, following his refusal to appear before the tribunal on the day he was supposed to.
The tribunal Chairman, ordered Saraki's arrest via a 'bench warrant' despite claims by the Nigerian Police that they are yet to get the warrant, and Saraki's preemptive action, of challenging the jurisdiction of CCT on the hearing, through his counsel.

Nigerian States Have Started Benefiting From The Special Intervention Fund!
