Forbes Reveals 10 Cars That Are Phased - Out In 2016!

According to Forbes's analysis, the cars under listed are likely to be discontinued in 2016, reasons behind their re-placements are equally hinted.

Mercedes-Benz M-Class

This Mercedes model is expected to be replaced by the GLE-Class. 

MINI Cooper Coupe and Roadster

The MINI sliced and diced model of the Coupe and Roadster is replaced by the two-seat Coup and Roadster.  

Honda Crosstour

U.S buyers never really connected to this version of the Honda brand. The Pilot crossover SUV was preferred in its place.

Nissan Xterra

After more than 750,000 units sales, this rough-and-tumble truck-based SUV is being replaced by the more compact SUVs.

 Infiniti Q40

 

Expected to be replaced by the brand’s new entry-level model, The Q30 in late spring/early summer 2016.

 Scion IQ

The Scion IQ is expected to be replaced, as sales so far is not encouraging.

Jaguar XK

The sales of the XK convertible will likely be absorbed by Jaguar’s F-Type line of closed and open-roof sports cars.

Scion xB

This 2004 model boxy-looking compact wagon is being replaced by the new-for-2016 iM four-door hatchback, which is essentially a latter-day version of the discontinued Toyota Matrix.

Land Rover LR2

This Land Rover model is being succeeded by the longer/ wider Discovery Sport model with a third row seat to attract young families. 

Toyota Venza

This five-passenger midsize wagon/crossover rendition of the Toyota Camry which is more mainstream looking than the Honda Crosstour,  is phased out as it never sold anywhere as the Highlander.
