Be yourself, not everything to everyone else’!

In life we all carry around a social mask everywhere we go wanting people to view and see us in a certain way. We keep it on for the majority of the day occasionally letting it slip……
Every human being is totally different thank goodness, life would be boring if we were all the same and as such we all do things differently. Some people make decisions in an instant others need time to process.  When we start to accept people for who they are it takes the frustration out of life. With this individual I am committed to taking the time to love and accept them just the way they are.
It’s incredibly empowering to talk through your deepest fears with another and some how by just talking things through those fears vanish.
In this instance I get to lower my social mask and be myself which is incredibly freeing.
Where in life do you lower your social mask and really be free?
Most of the time in life we are afraid of looking bad, or being seen a certain way and it stops us authentically sharing, connecting and opening up.
We want to be seen as the perfect mother, wife, girlfriend, model citizen. We want and need to be beautiful but inside feel unheard and vulnerable.
Why do we pretend to be everything to everyone else and not take the time to be honest with ourselves.
The next time someone asks you how you are I encourage you to give them an authentic answer, I am not saying dump all over them with your problems, merely really share what is important to you.
Think about the people in your life you wish to be closer too and tell them that you would like to take the time to share more with them and really connect and spend time with them.
Where in life could you lift your social mask?
The more we do it the easier it becomes and before we know it we have an army of empowered relationships around us and life just works.
