The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, has assured Nigerians of a significant turnaround in the Petroleum sector, as refineries will begin full operation in 2016.
“The country’s oil sector will experience a turnaround such that the refineries will work effectively and products will be made available to the people at an affordable price within 365 days,’’ he said.
Admonishing Nigerians while on a visit to his country home in Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North LGA, Delta State recently, to demonstrate patriotism, and desist from fuel hoarding, which leads to artificial scarcity and panic buying of the product. Dr. Kachikwu further ordered a special petrol supply intervention to ensure a stress free yuletide and New year celebration.
