London Ambulance Service (LAS) has confirmed that at least two people were seriously injured, while scores of others sustained various degree of minor injuries when a route 18 double-decker bus ploughed across a pavement, smashed down a traffic light pole, and crashed into a store front close to The Parish Church of All Souls, near the Jubilee clock on Harlesden High Street, north-west London, at about 2pm local time, on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
According to London Fire Brigade, 45 people were evacuated from nearby buildings, while windows on the top deck of the bus was smashed to allow people jump from the back of the bus to safety.
The High Street has been closed both ways between Acton Lane and Manor Park Road, motorists have been advised to seek other routes, as multiple emergency services personnel, including a hazardous response team, have been dispatched to the scene
