Man arrested for shooting his girl friend's husband!

A Las Vegas man was arrested and charged for allegedly shooting his girlfriend's husband.
On July 11, officers responded to the 4400 block of Tomer Lane in reference to a report of an illegal shooting. It was reported that someone had been shot in the head.
When officers arrived, a man was waving down officers and had blood on his head. The man was walking and speaking coherently.
As he walked towards the officers, another man, later identified as Steven Kesler, walked out of the residence. The victim looked at him and said he was the person who shot him.
Kesler told officers, "The gun is upstairs. He was leaving threatening messages all night saying he was going to kill us. The gun just went off."
According to the police report, a woman was inside during the shooting, who was reportedly the victim's wife and Kesler's girlfriend.
The victim said he had just returned to Las Vegas from California and was looking for his wife at Kesler's home. As he was walking to his vehicle, Kesler followed him and pointed a handgun at his face and threatened to shoot. The report said Kesler then shot.
Kesler told officers his girlfriend of three months was at his home all night. She had been receiving threatening messages on her phone from the victim.
Then around 4 a.m., they heard the victim banging on the door and decided not to answer. After about an hour, Kesler said he grabbed his handgun and went outside to confront him.
According to the report, the two began to struggle over the firearm and it discharged, striking the victim on the side of the head. His injuries are non-life threatening.
During the investigation, Police obtained the alleged threatening voice mails from the victim to his wife, and Police said the victim was angry but wasn't threatening in nature, as previously reported by the woman.
The woman did confirm she is still married to the victim and said she was in the process of separating due to his unpredictable behavior and history of domestic violence.
Kesler has been charged with attempted murder and battery.
