Scarcity of the PMS product or petrol, persists in Lagos and other Nigerian cities.
This lingering development has caused undue hardship and restriction on movements, increase in transportation fare, grid locks on our roads among others.
This "no fuel" situation, coupled with the '0% electricity supply, is negatively affecting the economy as Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), most of which depend on electricity are frustrated and at the rim of folding.
Prices of goods and service very steeply increased, commuters endure the heat under scourging sun, as they wait long hours for commercial vehicles in the various bus-stops across the city. And when you get home, no cold water to cool you down as our refrigerators have turned to cupboards where we store water and non-perishables (them no born you well to store perishable).
At nights, you are forced to sleep under immense heat or open the doors and windows to attract hungry mosquitoes; better still, sleep outside in mosquito tents as seen in the picture below.
Sound sleep under air conditioners and fan is now a luxury, for those who can afford to buy diesels and a 25-liter-gallon of fuel at the black market for =N=8,500, for generators.
Currently the economy is ran mostly by the private sector, as Nigerians await Mr President to give consent to the budget. Talking about 'budget delay'.... some civil servants are yet to receive their wages for some months now.
