Journalist Sentenced To Death For Aiding In The Killing Of Fellow Journalists!

Hassan Hanafi, a former journalist who helped al-Shabab terrorist group kill five fellow reporters in Mogadishu has been sentenced to death.
Hanafi, assisted the militant group by identifying possible targets among journalists between 2007 and 2011.  He worked with IQK, a local radio station that was seized by al-Shabab eight years ago, before moving on to work for Radio Andalus, al-Shabab's mouthpiece in Somalia, from where he joined the group's armed wing.
Chairman of Somali military tribunal, Mohamed Shute, said the evidence against Hanafi proved his involvement in the killings.
Hanafi  in a recent interview with Somali government radio, admitted to playing a role in some of the killings, saying that besides naming targets, he told al-Shabab where the journalists could be found.
Hassan Hanafi, was arrested by Kenyan security forces working with Somali intelligence in Nairobi, in August 2014 and was handed over to the Somali government.
